O aquário natural Lagoa Azul, recebeu este nome pela referência ao filme estrelado pela atriz Brooke Shields de mesmo nome, um clássico do cinema dos anos 80. Sua água azul-turquesa, com peixes multicoloridos e beleza cinematográfica, fazem do lugar, um dos mais visitados e contemplados da Baía da Ilha Grande. A imensa piscina é um santuário de vida marinha de incrível biodiversidade. Ao flutuar sob seus jardins de corais, logo o visitante é cercado por cardumes coloridos mal-acostumados com as guloseimas oferecidas pelos turistas.
Praia das Flechas: Na Praia das Flechas, sua vegetação generosa do entorno faz com que o verde-esmeralda da Mata Atlântica reflita no mar que banha essa praia. Com longa faixa de areia, a Praia das Flechas é perfeita tanto a quem curte sossego, quanto quem curte um agito, principalmente, aos finais de semana ensolarados, o lugar fica movimentado. Local do primeiro restaurante da Gipóia, o tradicionalíssimo Bar do Luiz, suas areias facilitam uma caminhada pós-almoço, não perdendo de vista a imponente Ilha Grande e o vai e vem das lanchas que circulam pela baía. O lugar também conta com infraestrutura gastronômica e hospedagem.
A Praia de Grumixama, é um dos pontos de parada que fica na parte da Ilha Grande, a Praia de Grumixama é uma pequena, mas charmosa praia de areias claras e rica vegetação Mata Atlântica. Considerada um dos refúgios da região por ser pouco frequentada, configura lugar ideal para relaxar em um delicioso banho de mar. Possui boa faixa de areia, águas calmas e transparentes. Indicada para esporte náuticos como snorkel e mergulho é cercada de grande quantidade de verde. O ambiente tranquilo é ideal aos amantes da natureza, ótima para fazer aquela leitura ou admirar o lindo pôr-do-sol que pode ser visto do local.

A beautiful destination and fantastic food at the restaurant, I recommend it, my family and I loved it
This is my second time taking a speed boat in Angra to visit some of the more secluded beaches and locations like botinhas, only accessible through a boat. The woman that met us at the pier was sweet and made the onboarding process easy. However the boat was a different story. In comparison to my previous speed boat trip, this entire adventure was rushed, and very little care was given in taking us to locations to enjoy ourselves. Our first stop for 45 minutes was nice. After that, we loaded up on the boat and went to a new location. The water was beautiful and blue, but the guide said it was dirty and said he would take us to a different spot. The spot we arrived at had trash floating everywhere in the water, but I got out of the boat anyways and walked the distance of the beach. Getting back to the boat I noticed the guide was occupied with his phone, so I asked if there was a cleaner beach we could go to, as there was trash floating everywhere here. He simply said “yes”. After that, we parked in Lagoa azul, left , then docked somewhere else for lunch. That was pretty much the entire trip highlight. A major disappointment and certainly not worth the 400 reais I paid prior to the 100 reai tax at the central station.

Fantastic walk! The boat well in order, the pilot very polite, attentive and passed a lot of safety to the tourists. I recommend!
Worse would have been like, we only went to the first stop. Because, according to Marcel, who was driving the boat, Viva Angra, the wind was very strong. We boarded and went to the next island, on this itinerary some things went very wrong, we moved at a speed higher than recommended for the sea/wind conditions, the people were not properly accommodated in the most behind the boat and, worse, a door was not properly locked, abruptly opening and breaking the fingers of my cousin's hand that was near the aforementioned door. We had to go to Ilha Grande, where we had lunch and returned to the hotel when it was possible. With the Junior-driven vessel following safer protocols, compared to the previous driver, accommodating the passengers backwards and coming at a speed compatible with the conditions of navigation. Except for my cousin who should go to the hospital, while telling these facts I had news that he was even taken to the hospital. We have a video of the panic moments we've been through, I haven't decided if I'm here yet.
