We thoroughly enjoyed the sunset cruise! Flynn and Tahlia were fantastic hosts - gracious, knowledgeable, personable and funny! We’ll certainly do it again - maybe the far isles snorkelling!
Very relaxing evening cruise on a unique historical ship. A lovely way to view the stunning scenery of this beautiful region.
We sat on the upper deck of the Shoalin and could not hear any of the commentary the skipper was sharing to passengers below. When I asked if we could hear it, the assistant was surprised we wanted to hear it! We had music coming from the speaker but not the commentary. Very disappointing. We paid good money for an experience and heard nothing, and didn’t know what we were looking at. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t good to take us out to the sea, and view the Port Douglas coastline, so we went up the grave yard for boats section of the river.
The cruise was enjoyable had to be cut short by the weather but the skipper was very informative about port Douglas and the area which help us.
It was great fun. Authentic junk. Great staff and atmosphere.
Would have given 5 + stars but no sunset! Cruise was very enjoyable. Captain Flynn was informative, knowledgeable and quick witted. 1st mate Taylor was an exceptional. From serving to hauling sails, to mooring the boat, versatile and a cat on her feet. Canapés and drinks were welcome. We had a fun time and would highly recommend.
Fabulous experience made better with our knowledgeable captain. Different from the normal tourist route and totally worth the reasonable cost.
