Perfect, almost half the price of the cruise line cost with the same service. Get the free short ride shuttle to the port gates, walk across the road, exchange your voucher for a ticket and board the coach. A twenty drive to a park on the outskirts and a pleasant 15 minute walk into the centre of Brugges
Brilliant shuttle coach service to Bruges from the port of Zeebrugge. When you get off the ship, you have to get on a free port shuttle bus to take you out the port as pedestrians are not allowed to walk around the port. The port shuttle bus drops you off right next to the Cruise Express shuttle service. The man on the desk spoke English and was very friendly. He directed us round the corner where the Bruges shuttle coach was waiting. On the way back from Bruges, the coach was waiting at the pick up point (which is the same place as the drop off point) and the man from the desk was there to guide everybody back on the coach. Our ship was due to leave at 4:30pm and the return shuttles ran from 12:30-3:30pm. The tickets had a QR code printed on them that you could scan to direct you back to the pick up point in case you got lost. Very efficient service that I would definitely use again if I return to Bruges. Good value.
Doesn’t take you all the way to Bruges. Still a 15-20 minute walk. Or a 10 minute walk to transport station for public transport.
Very easy to book, very close to ship, clean busses and nice drivers. This bus took us from the ship right to Brugge.
This is the 3rd time that we have used this service and cannot recommend it enough. Much more reasonable than the cruise prices. As a group of 5 adults and I child we saved enough for a drink and a snack while in Bruges. Shuttle leaves roughly every half hour and the same on return. Bruges is a lovely city and although this was our 3rd few hours cruise visit and a self drive 3 night stay there is always something new to see. Great food drink and hospitality. Love visiting as so easy to get around. Plenty of places to eat and drink for all pockets and the beer tasting and chocolates are Delish.
This is a very convenient way to get from the ship to Brugge center. But, know understand the times for the return trips, it is not the customary continuous service. From the cruise terminal to Brugge coaches run every 30 minutes between 8:30 and noon. The return trips run independently and in our case yesterday, the first return was 1:30 pm and every 30 minutes thereafter. If you only want to spend a couple of hours in Brugge, don't take the early coaches. Plan accordingly vlbased on return times which are clearly posted at the ticket window but not available online. When you get to the coach park near Brugge, it is a pleasant 15-minute stroll through the park to the Brugge cobblestone streets.
This was a great option to get into Bruges from our cruise ship! we did have to take a very short shuttle (free) from our ship to where we found the Cruise Express location, but it was very easy to do. We easily found where to go, checked in, and then walked around the building to the waiting bus. On the ride into Bruges, a short video played that explained what we should do and when we could get back, then we got off (and saved the location on our phones, just in case!) and walked into the beautiful town (about a 15 minute walk). We spent around 5 hours in town, then walked back to the bus area where we waited about a minute to get on the next bus. The process to get back on the ship was just as simple as before. I would recommend this service and will take it again if we go to Bruges from a cruise ship again!
Excellent way to get from Zeebrugge port to Brugge. The directions were clear and it was an easy and efficient way to get there and back to the ship.
I booked the shuttle service as it was much cheaper than the ship service before I left the uk. I was billed for it 2 days before we arrived in Zeebrugge and sent the ticket confirmation via email so that was good. When we got off the ship we left the terminal and there was a sign for the ticket collection, this was quick and easy. Instructions were given to walk around the corner of the building to the coach. The trip was approximately 30 minutes and we were dropped off in the car park for the town centre approximately 10 minutes walk through the park. Coaches then left every 30 minutes up to 3.30 for our return to the ship in plenty of time. Coaches were clean and English was spoke by the driver so all went very well and would recommend.
I did back to back cruises that each stopped at Zeebrugge. The first week this place was mobbed with long lines to both pick up tickets and buy tickets. A lot of people were confused why they bought tickets just to have to wait in line to pick up the tickets. That week I purchased an excursion thru viator. The second time I stopped was when I used this service. There were no lines that day. I walked right up and showed my viator code and moved over to wait to be escorted to the bus. At that point I was THE only person waiting. The guide did warn me that they would wait a bit to allow more passengers to gather which was completely understandable as it’s a full sized coach. The wait was only about 15-20 mins before we were allowed to board. We waited about 10 more minutes and were on our way. The trip takes about 15-20 minutes. The drop off is a short walk to the city center. I deliberately went on an early shuttle so I could see the city before shops opened and it was full of people. The first return trips were about 4 hours after the first drop off. They adjust these time based on your ship’s arrival times. The last trip back left plenty of time to get back with at least an hour before the gangway goes up. Their shop has a lot of chocolates from the nearby chocolate factory and some souvenirs. That factory was worth a visit for some low priced chocolates, just follow the signs. There is also a Spar a short walk from the shuttle pickup. Note that you can’t walk across the port area, you must take a free shuttle to the edge of the port to the ABC building. That takes about a minute but is for our safety since it’s a busy port with a naval base. The city shuttle ticket office/shop is just outside the ABC exit. If there are several in your party you may find it more economical to take a cab. They were lined up waiting for people to need them.
