Nino is the Best! Highly Recommend this Experience!

This experience was a 10/10 for me. I was traveling as a solo female so so booked this to have a guide on the hike. Nino was knowledgeable and kind and funny. He takes time to make the experience on the Path of the Gods authentic and enjoyable. Highly recommend!

Extraordinary Views

The drive to the hike takes one hour on a comfortable bus. We had over 40 people but they split us in smaller groups for the hike with our own tour guide. The hiking trail is well maintained and does have some steep drop offs. It is important that you wear comfortable hiking shoes (no sandals). It is rocky in places with lots of stairs. The views are breathtaking. They took us off the busy path to a 400 year old house/farm where we experienced a small meal of cheese, bread, honey, cherry tomatoes and local wine. Very rustic and over the top cool. The owners sang and played instruments and gave us a strong sense of the local color. The only downside of this tour was the guide was difficult to understand.

Path of the gods

Fabulous hike but make sure the road to Bomerano is open or you have to hike UP to catch v the trail- strenuous. But once on the trail it is gorgeous. Stairs down difficult after walking several miles.

Breathtaking views of the Amalfi coast

Breathtaking views of the Amalfi coast during this hike up in the mountains. The Sentiero degli Dei (Path of the Gods) starts at a height of about 600 meters in the little village of Agerola. As you don’t start at sealevel it doesn’t require too much climbing, even though the path does go up and down a bit. Every corner you turn there is another awesome view. Even though the path is not too tough it is advisable to wear good walking gear. A visit to the Amalfi coast is not complete without doing this hike.

This is not fun

We did this walk in June 2019. All reviews said it was an easy walk. It was far from it. It was a trek for the experienced hiker. It is also very dangerous with very little path to walk on in parts and a very sheer drop over the edge that there is no coming back from. There was a lot of climbing over rocks and the path is very dusty and slippery. The views are excellent but you can see them from the road on the bus trip up anyway. It was hot, it was badly sign posted of the track and where to go and there is little water along the way. We also learned after we had finished the trek that a young girl had fallen to her death in August 2018 on the same walk. It was not enjoyable but certainly an experience that we will speak about for year to come.

Path of the gods

This is a must do hike, our guide picked us up from the hotel and was very informative. Lovely lunch included with the goat shepherd. Fantastic views and well organised.
