Excursão de Kayaking & Sandwich Harbour

Great excursion, one of the highlights of my trip to Namibia! Sure, it’s a little expensive, but it’s worth it. They pick you up at your hotel, so it’s one less day of driving yourself (you’ll probably do that a lot in Namibia so it’s nice to not being behind the wheel for a change). You’ll drive to Walvis Bay where you’ll be doing kayaking with the seals (awesome experience! they are lovely and make very cute sounds, and they weren’t aggressive at all) and then go for a drive on Sandwich Harbour with some stops to enjoy the views and take pictures. They also bring you lunch, which was very good, and beverages. They were very welcoming and nice, it was a wonderful day. Highly recommended!

Super punctual pickup, and everything started smoothly. The kayak tour was easy to conduct, as only about 100 meters from the beach needs to be rowed to be in the midst of the playful seals. Highly, highly recommended. Subsequently, we participated in the Sandwich Harbour tour, that is, along the sea and then into the dunes. Very spectacular with great pictures. Furthermore, the food or snacks were indeed excellent… In particular, we must thank our guide Leclue for the detailed explanations, not only about the history of the area but also generally about Namibia. Great day…

If you're staying in Swakopmund or Walvis Bay, take this tour. LeClue is an absolutely world-class tour guide and is deeply knowledgeable about the region. We learned so much from him about the history of the area, the environment, and the wildlife. My wife and I had an absolute blast - one of our favorite days of our two-week trip to Namibia. We could not recommend the tour highly enough.

We joined a full-day tour with Warren the day before yesterday, which included a kayaking tour with seals, flamingo spotting, a dune drive to Sandwich Harbour, and a visit to the Pink Lake. The absolute highlight was the kayaking tour. Throughout the experience, a total of eight seals took turns climbing onto our kayaks. The animals were incredibly relaxed, which made the whole experience even more special and enjoyable. Afterwards, we had a snack break on the beach, where we could continue watching the seals up close. We then continued to Sandwich Harbour. Unfortunately, the weather was quite foggy, so the vastness of the landscape was not fully visible. However, the fog created a unique and almost mystical atmosphere that made the scenery special in its own way. The dune drive that followed was a real adventure. At times, it felt like a roller coaster ride! We were also provided with snacks and drinks during this part of the tour. To finish the day, we visited the Pink Lake, which was a wonderful way to conclude the tour. Throughout the entire day, Warren was extremely friendly, welcoming, and attentive. He shared a wealth of information about the area, its wildlife, and local history, and he was always happy to answer our questions. Thanks to him, we had an unforgettable day and feel very grateful to have had such an outstanding tour guide. We can wholeheartedly recommend both the tour and Warren.

Great experience ! Haven’t got that upclose with a seal before !! And the drive though the sandwich harbour was amazing ! So jealous of those people who got swarmed by seals on their kayak 🤣

The seals and dunes must be experienced. It is an incredible experience to see these animals up close and to swim alongside them in a kayak. If one is lucky, they will jump onto the vessel. The dunes also provide a sight that is rarely seen in this world. Our guide had very competent expertise and was always fun to be around. We truly had a great time with our guide, Le Clue.

It was absolutely a fantastic day spent with our guide: Stephen. He’s super knowledgeable with a witty sense of humor. We started with kayaking with seals in the morning and then sand dune driving onward to the Sandwich Bay in the afternoon. Everything was well planned and organized. Stephen made sure we had the best timing for all the parts of the tour and avoided major big tour groups, which is a 100 point plus! We loved the day and would definitely recommend!

We had an absolutely amazing experience on the Kayak Classic Sandwich Tour with Desert Dunes and Dust. Everything was perfectly organized from start to finish. We were picked up right on time at our hotel in the morning, and our guide LeClue immediately made us feel welcome with his friendly and funny personality. During the drive to Walvis Bay, LeClue explained so much about Namibia, the region, the salt fields, wildlife, and local history. Honestly, it felt like he knew everything. From interesting facts to small details and jokes, he made the whole journey incredibly entertaining and informative. The kayaking with the seals was easily a 10/10 experience. The seals came right up to the kayaks, climbed onto the boats, and played around us. Absolutely unforgettable. Small tip for future guests: bring a change of clothes because you will definitely get a little wet while kayaking. After kayaking, we had breakfast/snacks directly by the water, which was beautiful and delicious. Later, LeClue took us further through the dunes and towards Sandwich Harbour. We even saw whales, dolphins, many birds, springboks, and antelopes along the way. Driving through the dunes was also a lot of fun. Lunch and drinks were included and everything was fresh and more than enough combined with the earlier snacks. We never felt rushed and the whole day was just perfectly planned. A huge thank you again to LeClue for making this tour so special. His knowledge, energy, and kindness truly made the experience unforgettable. Highly recommended!

Fantastic day in Walvis Bay and Sandwich Harbour! Everything was perfectly organized, and our guide Leclue did an excellent job—friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. We started with a kayaking tour among the seals, which was an unforgettable and unique experience. The visit to the salt works was also very interesting. Afterwards, we explored Sandwich Harbour in the national park, where the dunes meet the ocean—simply breathtaking. The dune drive was exciting and a real highlight. Booked the Kayak Scenic Sandwich Tour with our guide LeClue during our 6-week honeymoon in South Africa, Namibia and Botswana, and it was definitely one of the top 3 things we did on the entire trip. Full day with pickup, dropoff, brunch, lunch, drinks, dunes, flamingoes, views, and kayaking with fur seals. Unforgettable. LeClue was amazing, answering all of our questions all day and telling us plenty about the area, the animals, the history, and recommendations in town. 100% worth it.
