It was a great trip, the local guide was lovely and taught us lots about the culture and customs of the local people. She was very friendly and shared lots about life in the village here .
Sapa Sisters provided a tremendous experience for a half day trek. We were spending only a short time in Sapa and they were extremely flexible and accommodating with coming up with a trek that would fit into our schedule. Lily our guide was great and provided us with great insight into the region and the H’mong people. We couldn't have had a better experience and are very much considering a longer multi day trek if we are ever back around the Sapa area
We had a wonderful day led by Cho. She met us early in our hotel and we planned the trek together. My priority was to walk along the rice fields and bamboo forests and also to learn a bit more about the Hmong. Cho exceeded our expectations. We learned about twisting and weaving hemp, the indigo dyeing process and had chance to look inside a traditional home. We had a delicious lunch at a Black Hmong restaurant in Lao Chai with a beautiful view of the river. Cho made sure that there were plenty of vegan options for me. I had a little ankle trouble and Cho took lots of care of me. I would definitely recommend Cho and Sapa Sisters.
I took the 1 day tracking tour.My tour gide was Mao. I can't give enough praise and words of gratitude for the experience I had with her. She gave me so many insights into the local culture and ways of living, we talked about domestic dynamics, herbal medicine and wild plants that we encountered on our way. I was the one asking a million questions but she was more then happy to give me answers to everything. It profoundly enriched my experience and I hope one day I will be back or if anything I can recommend it to other people. Thank you Mao 💙
We were on a 1 day trip around Sapa and 1 day trip, hiking up to Fansipan. We had two fantastic nice tours with skilled, knowledgeable Cha as a guide. Beautiful nature, pleasant and knowledgeable guide. We can highly recommend tour with Sapa Sisters and Cha as a guide!
Had the best day out trekking with Sy from Sapa sisters. Learned a lot about the Hmong people's way of life. She is such a lovely person. Her english is very good. Weather could not have been better, paths were fairly dry, so no mudbath accidents 😁
We had booked the easy trek. G has arthritis and I had hurt my knee before the holiday. Khur (apologies for the spelling), suggested we do the medium one instead as the easy one was mainly along the road. We had a great day. Khur and the local ladies helped us with the difficult bits. Khur even cut us some bamboo walking sticks. We were fortunate as the ground was quite dry, if it had been as muddy as we had seen on some You Tube videos we would have struggled. Khur was a great guide, giving us lots of information about local life. I found her very open and easy to chat with, it felt like I had known her for ages, rather than just having met her. The scenery was amazing. We really enjoyed lunch in a village restaurant overlooking a river and a rice padi. We were due to take a car back to Sapa at the end of the walk, unfortunately it was delayed due to a road being blocked because of a landslide, Khur managed to sort a ride for us on a minibus heading back to Sapa. We would definitely book a trek with Sapa Sisters again.
We have just finished the 1 day trip to the Bac Ha market which has been a real highlight of our Vietnam trip. Our guide - Zao - was friendly and really informative about the sights, the culture and the local agricultural industry. We would recommend this 100% for anyone visiting Sapa. And best of all as a social enterprise we loved knowing that we were supporting the Sisterhood!
Had a fantastic day with Lee as a guide. We had such a informative and fun day with her and to top it off we were welcomed into a local home to eat the best meal we had in Sapa
Absolutely brilliant 11km mountain trek through bush up to 3 villages. Our friendly guide, Chi was amazing and told us so many interesting things about the nature and culture of the different hill tribes along the way. I am scared witless of snakes and was worried throughout about encountering any but thank goodness we scared them off ! Lunch was good at Chi’s cousin’s small restaurant. Was a fairly tough, slippery and steep walk in places but as long as you take it steady, it is fine! Highly recommend - worth every dong!
