Itinerário
Começamos bem este passeio visitando a Camacha; uma das vilas mais rurais e rústicas da Madeira onde o folclore ainda é amplamente praticado. A Camacha torna a Madeira mundialmente conhecida pela sua indústria de vime e cana. Aproveite para ver uma variedade de peças de produção em exibição.
A próxima paragem é o Pico do Areeiro, o terceiro pico mais alto da ilha, com uma altitude de 1818m proporcionando fabulosas vistas de 360 'da ilha. Frequentemente, as formações rochosas podem ser vistas atravessando as nuvens, criando visuais e oportunidades fotográficas de tirar o fôlego.
Em seguida, seguimos para o Ribeiro Frio (que significa rio frio). Ribeiro Frio é uma pequena aldeia situada no coração da floresta Laurissilva. É a maior área sobrevivente de floresta de louro no mundo e acredita-se que seja 90% de floresta primária. Neste local classificado como Património Natural da Humanidade pela UNESCO, podemos desfrutar de uma fantástica variedade de plantas e espécies no seu habitat. Também podemos observar a interessante fazenda de trutas composta (o mais naturalmente possível) por cercados de pedra, água fresca de levada, situada em um belo cenário de pura natureza.
Continuamos o nosso passeio até ao Faial onde podemos avistar a imponente rocha da Penha de Águia, que separa o Faial do Porto da Cruz.
Com uma parada prolongada na vila de Santana, você terá tempo suficiente para almoçar e também aproveitar a oportunidade para ver as mundialmente famosas casas triangulares de palha típicas da Madeira, pintadas em alegres cores primárias.
Ponta São Lourenço, situada na parte mais oriental da ilha, podemos observar esta magnífica paisagem caracterizada pela fantástica combinação de rochas, mar e natureza.
Nossa parada final é a maior cidade de Machico; a primeira área da Ilha que os navegadores portugueses encontraram, na altura dos descobrimentos.

IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING PICK-UPS AND TRANSPORT Please note that pick-ups are available within Funchal city centre and the main tourist hotel area. Some areas, including pedestrian zones, historic streets in Funchal, and locations with restricted access for the type of transport we use, may not be suitable for direct pick-up. If your accommodation is located outside our pick-up area or in a restricted-access zone, please provide us with your full accommodation address so that we can direct you to the nearest available meeting point in Funchal. Our activities are usually operated in groups of around 16 participants. However, during peak seasons, the type of transport may be adjusted and the number of participants per group may increase, depending on availability and logistical requirements.

Our guide, Renato, was fantastic—extremely knowledgeable, engaging, and very funny. The trip was well organised from start to finish. We saw so much and experienced plenty of real “wow” moments along the way. It was a memorable experience, and I would highly recommend it.

I did not go to get the door where I was staying, in the application they accepted where I was staying then they sent me to go to another place, having a motor disability, nor did the guide speak in Portuguese as I asked when I booked,

Tal como tivemos oportunidade de explicar nas várias mensagens trocadas antes da atividade, o seu alojamento encontra-se numa travessa da zona velha da cidade onde, por questões legais, de segurança e de circulação, o nosso minibus não pode aceder. Por esse motivo, foi indicado um ponto de encontro alternativo, situado a uma curta distância do alojamento, provavelmente inferior à distância que os nossos viajantes habitualmente percorrem em algumas paragens do próprio tour. Compreendemos a sua observação relativamente à sua limitação motora e lamentamos qualquer desconforto causado. Ainda assim, procurámos sempre indicar o ponto de recolha mais próximo e viável, respeitando as restrições de circulação existentes em algumas zonas do Funchal. Relativamente ao idioma, o guia prestou informações em português e inglês durante o tour. Acrescentamos ainda que, no próprio dia, a senhora informou o nosso guia que, além do português, também falava inglês, francês e alemão, o que naturalmente contribuiu para uma comunicação mais flexível durante a experiência. Lamentamos uma vez mais que a atividade não tenha sido totalmente satisfatória e agradecemos o seu comentário, que teremos em consideração para continuar a melhorar os nossos serviços.

Some pretty typical old houses but a short stop is enough. Very complicated parking. Trying to join a visit
Typical Madeiran houses, definitely worth seeing if you pass through Santana. A must-see place, very pretty and free.
Renata was an excellent host, first class, and great driver. We thoroughly enjoyed the days excursion. So much knowledge and a true gentleman to his passengers. Everything from trees, fruit, history, and up to date. Would highly recommend this tour and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. Thank you Renata. ( George lol, go on the tour to find out this).

Unfortunately this trip was not good. The bus driver was very abrupt, the mini bus seats were all broken with had broken seat belts too. I tried three seats and then gave up. We were told we could have the noisy air conditioning on or the driver commentary. We couldnt have both, as the intercom on the bus was broken. We chose the commentary so air conditioning was turned off. Only to find some of the windows wouldn't open and we were told to stop trying to open them. This didn't feel like a touring mini bus as the windows were really low and we couldn't see outside without ducking down. Some of the seats had the wheel arch inside the bus, therefore no leg room. The poor condition of the bus let this tour down. The locations were great and really enjoyed the scenic stops.
Stopping off and seeing different attractions on route and the commentary from our guide. We were lucky that we had lovely sunny weather on the day. We were picked up on time from our hotel.
Highly recommend this tour as it visits a number of places and our guide took us to see a genuine traditional old house, not just those built as a tourist attraction
Very nice day in the east of the island. Very nice stops with panoramic views, break time to eat in Santana and discover its typical little houses. We liked the tour as much as the one to the west. The driver was very kind and his explanations in French were always interesting. If you combine the West + East towers with the half day at the Valley of the Nuns, you have a very nice view of the whole island. I recommend Feeling Madeira, very good company and explanations in French for Francophones.
