Unbelievable views and hike. About 2.5 hours up. 1.5 hours down if travelling in a group with kids. Recommend private so you can take your time. Moderate to hard difficulty but our guides Alonzo and Jorge were excellent. Highly recommended
Highly recommend The Little Tour's outtings! Super staff, itinerary, and flexibility. Alfonso and Jorge get 5 stars!
They picked me up directly from my accommodation and from the beginning the guide was very friendly and you could tell that he genuinely cared about making the experience enjoyable. The Santa Ana volcano hike was beautiful and definitely one of the highlights of my trip. After the hike, we went to Lake Coatepeque and the guide took me to a really authentic local place for lunch. It was a great way to experience Salvadoran food and culture beyond the usual tourist spots. Overall, a great day and I’d definitely recommend it.
Really enjoyed our time on this excursion. Of course the highlight was the Santa Ana volcano. Both Carlos and Alonzo were super knowledgeable.
Although the Santa Ana Volcano hike was unfortunately closed by the government due to weather conditions, I still had a wonderful and memorable experience with Little Tour and guide, Carlos. Carlos did an excellent job adapting the itinerary and making the most of the day. We visited Cerro Verde National Park, enjoyed a pleasant hike there, took in beautiful views of Lake Coatepeque, and learned a great deal about the history, culture, traditions, and daily life of El Salvador. What impressed me most was Carlos's knowledge, enthusiasm, and willingness to share insights about the country beyond the typical tourist attractions. Even though we could not complete the original hike, the tour never felt disappointing. Instead, it became a unique opportunity to experience another side of El Salvador. I highly recommend Little Tour and Carlos to anyone visiting the country. Their professionalism, flexibility, and genuine passion for sharing El Salvador made this a truly enjoyable experience.
High recommend booking this tour! Carlos was a really fantastic guide! He even brought his own drone and shared the videos of us on the volcano after. He was also very flexible with us when we were late to our pick up and also when we asked to change our drop off location. Can’t speak highly enough of our experience with Carlos.
I highly recommend booking this private tour with Alonso to Santa Ana Volcano. I booked 2 other personalized tour on 2 other days also with his tour company. He picked me up early morning at Airbnb location in San Salvador. Then drove to Santa Ana Volcano and met up with his brother who is a certified guide to hike up the Volcano. The hike wasn't too difficult, it was easy. It took about an hour up and same amount going down. The views from the top are amazing. They will take as many photos as you would like while being up there. The 2nd part of the tour is going to the lake then drive back to the Airbnb location where I got picked up at. Thanks again Alonso and Carlos for the great tour 👍
The volcano tour in Santa Ana was an amazing experience. The hike was enjoyable, the views from the top were breathtaking, and the guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend it for anyone visiting El Salvador!
Santa Ana Volcano hike was an amazing experience. Our guide Carlos treated us like friends, which made the whole trip feel really comfortable and fun. I also loved hearing the history and stories about the volcano and El Salvador during the hike. The views at the top were incredible, and the overall atmosphere was unforgettable. Highly recommend this tour if you visit El Salvador!
Carlos and Alonzo were the perfect duo to guide us on this trip. Everything from the drive to the hike to the conversation was perfect. They both did such an incredible job from start to finish and I could not recommend them enough. They even provided us with pictures that were out of this world. And on a side note, we were both sleeping on the way home during the drive and Alonzo turned off the radio and put a headphone in so we wouldn’t hear the radio and could sleep. Just a very thoughtful and considerate example of how they were during the entire time.
