San Cipriano River Tubing Dia de Relaxamento

So I wanted to spend a day in the wild. Searching the usual sites I found several offers for this expedition at different prices. As we were just two participants Juan and his father picked me up by car from the hotel in Cali. This is an additional service usually. After a trip of about two hours and a small coffee break in the middle we finally arrived at our destination. You had to cross a suspension bridge to get to the station and take the witches. After about twenty minutes of travel through the jungle you arrive in a small village (San Cipriano) along with simple houses, which are mainly hotels, rentals, tires, shops or restaurants. But the whole thing is very simple. I was there on a Saturday and there were really very few people. So the village was in principle the final destination and what was included in the excursion, so I was not sure what to expect. Any extra activities, i.e. renting a tyre or a trip to waterfalls through the jungle, or even lunch at one of the local restaurants are charged extra. Even if these supplements are not very high for European standardsthis was not very clear to me at the time of purchase of the excursion especially as the title of the excursion contains River tubing. In any case it was a great experience once the activities were added on site (cash only). So I chose to go to the big waterfall. It’s a wonderful walking tour through the jungle rewarded by a short swim in the waterfalls. Then we took the tires to get carried away by the crystal clear waters to the village. Also a very nice experience. Finally, we ate a simple meal in a restaurant in the village. The accompanist Juan was a discreet young man but once asked questions, he gladly answers. He was accompanied by his father who was also very kind. You should know that you are constantly wet, whether it is following the walk through the jungle or following the adventure on the river. So we have to plan. The return to Cali went well. Even if the car was really small. In conclusion I highly recommend this excursion which is really very exotic - for its environment, the ride on the witches and the magnificent walk through the jungle.

We did this full-day tour in March 2026 as a couple and it ended up being a private experience, which made it even better and very flexible. Our guide, Juan, was a friendly Cali local with excellent English and great knowledge of the area. He shared lots of useful tips and insights throughout the day, which really added to the experience. We were picked up from our hotel and driven to San Cipriano by Juan, before taking the “Brujita” rail cart for the final stretch into the jungle - which was a fun and unique highlight in itself. Once there, we went tubing down the river, which was incredibly enjoyable. The water was clean and beautiful, and the surroundings were very peaceful and scenic. It also felt uncrowded, which made the experience even more relaxing. Lunch was prepared locally and was excellent - a fresh fish dish with rice, along with agua de panela, which was refreshing and delicious. Overall, a fantastic day combining adventure, nature, and local culture. Highly recommended.

We had a great experience with Juan. I booked the San Cipriano tour for my family. Juan was kind, knowledgeable, and super patient with my two young energetic young boys. Juan knew his way around and provided some really good tips. The trip was so much fun - truly an unforgettable experience.

We went on a jungle tour in San Cipriano near Cali and had an amazing experience. Our tour guide Juan was fantastic. He was around the same age as us and very motivated, which made the whole tour feel relaxed and personal. It didn’t feel like a typical guided tour at all — more like exploring the jungle with a friend. Juan was attentive, easy to talk to, and made sure we felt comfortable and enjoyed every part of the trip. We would definitely recommend this tour, especially with Juan as a guide.

Juan speaks good English. I was picked up at my Airbnb. We drove to San Cipriano. Safe driver. Great conservation on the way there and back. He advised me on what to bring so I was prepared. A good lunch was arranged after we floated down the river. Every detail was arranged flawlessly. Being an older person Juan was concerned for my safety and was very helpful. I had a great time!!!

This tour was just amazing. It extended my expectations. It was fun, exciting and super relaxing! We did a little hike to a waterfall as well, which was spectacular. The tubing down the river is then afterwards so much fun. You really enter another world. Would definitly recommend doing it! You feel all the time very welcome and safe. :)
