It was a fun experience! The clues were challenging but not impossible. It was a fun way to see different parts of the city.
It was SO fun! My 9 yr was super into the story, and it was such a fun family afternoon. I think the riddles were challenging but approachable. I liked that they took some time to solve, because it took the pressure off rushing and wasn't a 'race' format where you feel like you should run from point to point. That gave us time to stop and eat lunch while reviewing the clues and just enjoy the sights. I think it did a great job of weaving real-world landmarks and game pieces together. We were a little sad when it was over, but the timing was also perfect. Not too much, not too little, it was just the right amount of time. Love the whole concept, thanks for a fun family day!
Nice challenge and pleasant walk. Everything worked well. Enjoyed the interjection of historical facts. Advise others to make a longer game of it and stop to eat and drink along the way.
We had a fun time figuring out the puzzles and walking around downtown. We didn't use any hints, but we often go to Esacpe Rooms. We ran into three other families playing too. It was fun!
So so fun!! Needed hints on a few but had an amazing time solving the puzzles. It took us a little over 2 hours - highly recommend!!
We had so much fun doing this outdoor escape room. It was much more difficult than I was expecting! However, we had our 7 and 8 year olds with us. Our 8-yo was really into it while we had to drag our 7-yo along, lol. Overall, would do another!!
We live in Houston and this was a really fun deviation to normal life.. and it made me stop and look around the city and notice a few things i never have. The storyline is a bit silly but the puzzles and delivery of the story was top of the line professional. This is not a back-of-garage product. The whole adventure took us about three hours and that was with a couple beers along the way. The adventure kept us moving but the amount of walking was super reasonable, even in hot weather. I can’t wait to try out adventures in other cities too!!
It was fun - we did it with two adults and two older teens (17 & 18.5). We chose a beautiful Sunday afternoon to wander the city of Houston. Only one snag - the information for the 2nd clue was missing from the in-person venue. I asked for a hint and then had to ask for the answer on that one. The rest of the clues were just challenging enough to be fun, and we didn’t need any more hints. Our family loves solving puzzles and playing strategy board games. I loved how it had us wandering the streets of Houston - we saw quite a bit of beautiful street art in addition to the parts that you incorporated. We ran into another family doing the same thing at the same time as us (recognized their box when they were at one of the clues). I liked your commentary on the art/locations… I can’t remember what you called it on the website, but maybe call it a “Shout-Out” or something more obvious that you also offer a little look-and-learn commentary… I think you just called it “look,” “”look around,” or even “look-and-learn." Favorite part: I honestly loved that it had us traversing the outdoors in our own city in a different way. Maybe explain that more than one person can be scanning the codes and following the clues… that definitely helped. AND it was a great way to spend the day using technology to do things, but it not being the focus.
The escape game was great. We really liked the different puzzles and the material in the box. We had no technical problems and easily understood what we needed to do despite English not being our language. It was really great and we’ll definitely do it in another city like Austin or Dallas!
We really loved this!! We found it somewhat difficult, but I've only done this once before and it was in a room! Having this outside was genius!! Our favorite was the pillar and the sculpture! The whole thing was orchestrated amazingly, and we had a blast!! We will definitely do this again!! Thanks for the opportunity to have this much fun!!
