Visiting Machu Picchu is by far the most challenging tour to get in my experience as a traveller. But with the help of Minkas Travel, and most especially by owner Irwin, this bucket list can become reality. Myself and my friends are lucky to have been connected with Minkas Travel because our dream to visit Machu Picchu became a reality. Irwin ensured that he will do everything he can to accommodate all our needs, and he made sure that we have been taken cared of from Day 1. It was wonderful experience and so much grateful to Irwin and Minkas travel for taking good care of us. Julio, our rour guide in Machu Picchu, is also a very knowledgeable guide, and made us feel welcome, and made us enjoy the experience. We went for the 0600 Machu Picchu visit and it was perfect timing for sunrise visit with less crowds, and great weather as well. The Sacred Valley Tour was also something you should not miss when visiting Cusco. Overall, our group highly recommends this tour with Minkas Travel. We had an amazing experience with Minkas Travel from start to finish. Communication was excellent—every detail was clearly explained, and we felt well taken care of throughout the entire journey. Our guide for Machu Picchu, Julio, was incredibly knowledgeable and thorough. We really enjoyed our walk with him and the fascinating history he shared along the way. The train ride with Inca Rail was also optimal—comfortable, scenic, and perfectly timed. We booked this tour at the last minute, concerned because all the one day tours were booked out and we didn't want to miss such an amazing adventure. Minka's Travel were fantastic, communicating with us and reassuring us that we wouldn't miss out. Our accommodation in Aguas Calientes was really comfortable and quiet, and had an amazing view of the river. We had plenty of time to walk around the quaint little village with lots to see, do and eat. On the second day, the tour guide took us through the ruins of Machu Picchu, providing an interesting commentary in both English and Spanish. He also helped by taking some amazing group photos of us. I would highly recommend this company to anyone wanting to visit Machu Picchu.

My husband and I highly recommend Minka’s if you are planning to visit Machu Picchu. We booked our Peru trip last minute, and advanced tickets for Machu Picchu were sold out. Minka’s has a tour for people like us who want to score last-minute tickets. Had we tried to get to Aguas Calientes by ourselves (not an easy fete for foreigners—it involved a car ride, bus, and train), we would have not gotten tickets. We unknowingly booked our trip during the Peruvian independence holiday weekend, and the last-minute ticket line was insane. Esmeralda held our hand through the whole complicated process of scoring last-minute tickets, and we were able to get the best circuit! Once at Machu Picchu, our guide was amazing. He was highly knowledgeable, took all of our photos at the most picturesque spots and was able to answer all of our questions about the site (there are no placards that explain the space). After a train and bus ride, we arrived back in Cusco after a long tiring journey, and our driver was waiting for us to drop us at our hotel door. This tour was worth every penny, and each person who helped us on different legs of the journey was friendly and professional.

MINKA'S Travel have been amazing, couldn't fault them! We contacted Irwin with a last minute request to go to Machu Picchu, even though we hadn't booked our tickets in advance and they we're technically sold out. These guys are the only tour agents in Cusco that will get you day tickets without booking in advance! They will sort the train, buses, accomadation etc. We met Dario at their office who was an absolute gentleman, he explained the whole process to us which is very simple. Dario met us at our hotel at 3am on the day of our trip to AC (Machu Picchu town) gave us all the tickets for trains and buses, he had even booked us a private taxi from Cusco to the train station which was well over 1 hour, it all felt very professional. We we're met in AC by a young lady who explained where we needed to be to get our tickets for the next day, she then checked us into our hotel which surprised us both and was really nice! (Suzanna Inn) We had a bedroom facing the river which was great! Free time in AC to chill etc. Next dsay breakfast was really good, and we left our bags at the hotel. We went to MP and we met Julio our guide at 10am by the main gates (I met him the evening before at our hotel for a briefing of the MP day). Spent 3 hours at MP with him, he's very funny and has all the info you need about MP, he's very knowledgable! Train back to AC that evening, then met by Dario who dropped us back to our hotel. 10/10 guys!! We would use Minka's Travel again! :-)
