Dirija pelas montanhas 'Qara'. Em uma estrada que ziguezagueia progressivamente por uma colina vertical, rebanhos de Camelos e Gado são comumente vistos no caminho, o que dá uma visão pitoresca de um dos ambientes Dhofari. Pare e visite Wadi Doka no início do distrito de Najd (semi-deserto) 35 quilômetros ao norte de Salalah em direção a Thumrait (assentamento de beduínos). Chegue a esta reserva nacional registrada pela UNESCO que contém 1230 árvores perenes de olíbano cobrindo uma área de 5 km ”e tenha uma experiência real sobre esta valiosa árvore famosa. Além de seu cheiro perfumado, o olíbano também é usado como elemento corretivo
Prossiga para a cidade de Thumrait para se refrescar por alguns minutos e pode estar desfrutando da xícara de café Taste of Arabian (Qahwah) e Tâmaras (Tamer). A cidade de Thumrait foi um ponto vital nas antigas rotas de comércio do olíbano. Prepare-se enquanto se dirige para a próxima parada arqueológica da cidade perdida de Ubar.
Visite a lendária Cidade Perdida de Ubar, descoberta em 1992 com a ajuda de satélites da NASA. Entrada opcional está disponível por 3 OMR por pessoa (não incluído no preço do passeio). Alternativamente, os hóspedes podem desfrutar de uma paragem de fotos gratuita do exterior, com a Guia compartilhando a história e o significado deste antigo sítio da UNESCO. Esta opção permite mais tempo para explorar as belas dunas do deserto.

What a wonderful adventure into the Arabian Desert! Mohammed was the perfect guide as we toured first the Frankincense trees and he even brought me my own bag as a souvenir! The Desert trip is far but worth the journey! I highly recommend bringing a bottle of wine to watch the sunset. Photos were worth the trip.

Sunset in the desert is definitely a unique and unforgettable experience. But also the journey in the plateau that precedes and full of charm. The trip also includes some stops, all spectacular, in the Wadi, at the top of the mountains and sunset over the sea. A big difference in these days is the guide. HAMID was fantastic and was able to give us special moments, just in those less touristy and obvious things.

Spending a few hours on the desert dunes is priceless! From salalah there are about 2.5 hours by jeep but it is worth it! Thank you Hamid for letting us live this wonderful day
