Descrição
O silhar é a origem da arquitetura da Cidade Branca e sua rota turística é desenvolvida no distrito de Cerro Colorado. Além das paisagens naturais da região, é possível observar o processo de extração, modelagem e megatallado do silhar. Possui a infraestrutura necessária e serviços turísticos, como oficinas de interpretação, com a presença de cortadores; áreas do painel de informações; sinalização turística; estacionamento; Compra de artesanato em áreas silares e de descanso. A rota silar é gerenciada pela Rede Sillar Cutters - Arequipa. Atualmente, compreende um comprimento de 2.000 metros, cobrindo as pedreiras em operação de Añashuayco, Cortadores e a pedreira virgem de Culebrillas.

Você pode ver os murais onde o silhar é esculpido artesanalmente, também a rotina executada pelos trabalhadores da região. Você também conhecerá o canhão de telhas, um pequeno canhão de silhar rosa, formado naturalmente.
As pedreiras de Las, uma área natural protegida desde hoje, são um local atraente para apreciar a origem do silhar, característica de pedra vulcânica de Arequipa.
Permite conhecer a origem do silhar, pedra representativa do que são feitas a maioria das construções do centro histórico da cidade. As impressionantes esculturas em pedra, a estrada de cascalho, onde se forma um pequeno desfiladeiro cor-de-rosa, área natural, ideal para tirar fotos e conhecer a origem mais remota, esta área é completamente virgem e protegida, e você não pode trabalhar nos arredores. Depois disso, eles retornam ao centro da cidade, onde contrastam observando as grandes construções de cantaria feitas desde os tempos antigos.

A retirada é feita por hotéis no centro da cidade, caso contrário, o ponto de encontro será na praça principal de Armas. O ponto preferido seria o portão principal da Plaza de Armas, no turno da manhã, às 8 horas da manhã ou no turno da tarde, às 14 horas.

Nice day out. Mike was a great guide with very good English. I enjoyed walking through the canyon the most, but as others have said, there is a very steep walk out of the canyon. Make sure you have sturdy shoes.
Interesting for some. I found it boring. And uninspirimg. I guess we were looking for other types of tour guides.

Great guided experience was Anthony Flores and driver Freddie. Super friendly and very pleasant the trip, very interesting explanations. He highly recommended it. The route is long but worth it. We saw the condor birds several times. Impressive!
1st, they contacted me to meet at a different pick up location which doubled the length of our walk to the pick- up location. Upon getting on the bus at the new pick up location after a .7 mile walk we proceeded through town picking up other customers and ended up driving right by my Airbnb. That was a little frustrating to say the least. My husband was not feeling well and it was difficult to understand the English spoken portion of the talk, so we decided to leave the group at the 1st stop and Uber home.

We tried to contact you via WhatsApp to confirm the pickup, but we were unable to reach you. Sometimes we also have to adjust the pickup point due to traffic and logistics issues. The tour itself is really cool! The check-in and pickup felt disorganized and could be improved. Be prepared for MANY flies - bring lots of insect repellant! I wish the guide or driver had repellant for the bus/van because it became extremely filled with flies when they left the door and windows open during one of our walks. Lastly, one of the entrances was more than they advertised, which wasn't a big issue but threw me off guard because I had a limited amount of cash (the day before I left and I didn't want to withdraw more). Regardless was a cool tour and still recommend it, especially with the price tag.

The place is beautiful. Worth the visit and the walk along the route. Attention if you have any mobility difficulties, as there are sections on the route that deserve double care.

Interesting ride, very friendly guide Mike, very good explanation... unforgettable experience. As advice improve mobility, the air was not cold , towards very hot, and damping check of the urgent vehicle!
Julia was the best tour guide. Very nice person. I recommend this tour if your looking for something to do in arequipa. Make sure you bring peruvian soles with you !!!
