I didn’t use the tour as I booked it from home in Canada, and when I arrived in Rome on a cruise ship, there was no shuttle from the cruise port I just had knee surgery and couldn’t get to the bus station Did not use my ticket
Brilliant way to see and get round most of Rome. If there for a few days would suggest getting 2 day ticket as drops you off at all main attractions or near and helps save some money. Just be aware last bus is 7pm.
3rd time booked Red bus tour to travel around Edinburgh, Dublin and now Rome is a fantastic way to view the city.
Great and nice view the city of Rome, staff is friendly and dedicate to the tour, accessible meeting point, i recommend not traveling in summer as the heat is extreme and street vendors can be a nuisance when you board the bus; its is better buy the tour online
Good thing to get, see a lot of Rome, goes to all the major sites, The Colosseum bus stop was closed, not sure how long this is closed for, The three day one was the best value for money. The Night tour you get, is the same as the day route, just gives you a view of the sites at night, it is not different, Easy location to find at the main station in Rome,
The operator outside the bus stop gave us one price. Then when we entered the bus and half of the group paid, they gave us a higher price. As we couldn’t leave rest of the family, we had to accept it. Clear scam and then they were pretending nothing to do with them. The bus doesn’t go to all the stops as shown on the map. There are no announcements about this so you end up going to the same places. When confronted the operator and the bus driver point to a sign that the operator blocks when you enter the bus and you can’t see. Ended up going around 45mins to see areas you’ve already seen. Again, no announcements, no communication, no customer service on it. Also the audio tour is a bit basic. You don’t learn that much about Rome. Avoid - waste of money!
A crucial stop on the Rome bus is closed. A Big Bus representative was rude and abussive to me and my 8 year old daughter. I have not had a resolution to this. Please be very careful engaging in business with this company. The employees are not safe for women and children in Rome city, and the follow up is unsatisfactory.
Good. Pity everyone upstairs stands up so if you are small and bus is full it's not good. Night tour is good too but same issues.
This option is great if you plan accordingly. The stops are pretty far apart, but if you want to explore, this works. I would recommend staying on for the full route, before hoping on and off.. My family and I did not use it as much as we should have.
Hi Eveliz, Thank you for sharing your feedback and for choosing Big Bus Tours during your family's visit to Rome! We appreciate your tip about taking a full loop first—that is actually one of the best ways to get oriented with the city before jumping off to explore! Due to Rome’s unique historical layout, some major landmarks are spread out, but we are glad the tour still worked well for your sightseeing plans. We hope you and your family had a wonderful trip overall, and we would love to welcome you aboard again on your next adventure! Madalina@BigBusTours
In 36 degrees the top is just too hot and that’s where you get the views and where we sat. We have been to Rome many times and it’s the first time we have done the bus tour. It’s a different perspective which was nice
