I had an incredible experience on the Rocinha Favela Tour! Our tour guide, Stephanie, was absolutely wonderful. She was knowledgeable, friendly, professional, and made the entire experience comfortable and enjoyable. She shared so much interesting information about the community, culture, and history of Rocinha.
It was very good, especially the attention of the guide Kimberly Lima who is a resident of the community and told us the history of Rocinha. Note 10

Tour was cancelled 2 hours in advance. Reason: bad weather. Weather was fine and all other tours DID run. Not enough people was the real reason. Other people had same experience in other locations. This is typical behaviour for this company.
We are sorry that your tour could not take place. The activity was canceled due to weather conditions, and safety considerations always take precedence over operating a tour. Different operators may make different decisions based on their vessels, routes, and safety protocols, so the fact that some tours may have proceeded does not mean that all operators are required to do so. We would also like to clarify that our decision was not related to the number of participants. We regularly operate tours of varying group sizes and do not cancel experiences for that reason. Although we understand your disappointment, the safety of our guests and crew must always come first. We appreciate your understanding and wish you enjoyable travels ahead.

I took the 630pm night tour with Jade. Starts off with a moto ride to the top of the favela where you can see the lights across the entire area. From there Jade will walk you through the favela through various areas (secret spots are worth it). It is a culture immersion and does not feel like a tour. Some areas on the tour feel unquestionable or dangerous, they aren't, it's a good and unique experience. I do recommend the night tour, even if you took the day tour. Jade takes you through the local nightlife where culture comes alive and you can see all the night time drinking areas.
