Outstanding views and a great guide!

Our guide, Bradley (Green Jeep Tours), made this a memorable excursion. While getting set to leave (putting in a car seat for a 2 yo), he asked what we had done so far at RMNP. Between our previous outing and what a 2 yo can handle, he provided another option that was totally off-book. We chose that option and know we made an outstanding choice. Based on his experience, we went into the park via the Fall River Entrance to Trail Ridge Road. This was a much less crowded entrance. However, if you think about driving this yourself, know that it’s a gravel/dirt road with many tight switchbacks. It was much more enjoyable with a guide who grew up in Colorado; I could take in the sights with my family without worrying about the white-knuckle nature of the drive. He took us to some great meadows and other locations where we got our Christmas card-worthy family photos. It got quite a bit colder as we approached 12,000+ foot elevation and it started raining, even sleeting. Bradley had blankets ready for us as well as rolling out the roof over the open part of the back of the vehicle. There wasn’t much hiking with the way we did it, but that suited most of our family just fine. Instead, we got some of the most spectacular views RMNP has to offer. Plus, our guide provided great commentary and even pointed out some wildlife the rest of us couldn’t see. We got to see one of the largest and oldest moose in the park (Frank the Tank), and also a close encounter with a marmot. We don’t know what we may have missed among the crowds at Bear Lake, but we know we had an outstanding experience and witnessed some of the most astounding views in the park.

Great experience

It was a very informative tour. Our guide , Michael was awesome . He was very friendly and knowledgeable . We had a great time talking about the place and getting to know each other. Michael made sure we were able to appreciate any animals visible. He went out of his way to get my favorite hat which was knocked off my head due to wind . My 9 yeas old who normally gets bored with these kinds of trips , enjoyed it a lot , thanks to Michael and an adventurous jeep ride. Highly recommend the tour and Michael as a guide!!

Fantastic Green Jeep Tour of Bear Lake Corridor on July 27, 2026

Our family did the Green Jeep Tour of the Bear Lake Corridor (Bear Lake, Sprague Lake, Alluvial Fan) on July 27, 2026. It was a fantastic experience! Tucker was our guide and did a wonderful job. It was even his day off! We enjoyed walking around Bear and Sprague Lakes and checking out the Alluvial Fan. Highly recommend Green Jeep Tours!

Resposta do operador

Thank you so much for the five star review. Tucker is one of our newest drivers this year but is already very knowledgeable and is kind of a workaholic. Thank you for choosing Green Jeep Tours as your guides through the Rocky Mountain National Park.

The Best Seat and Lowest Stress Level in Rocky Mountain National Park. Worth Every Minute of That 5 AM Alarm 🚙🫎

If you're on the fence about booking Green Jeep Tours...this is your sign. Just do it. We booked a private 6:00 AM Bear Lake Corridor tour for our family of four (my spouse, our 10-year-old son, our 6-year-old daughter, and me), and somehow everyone survived the 5:00 AM wake-up call. More importantly, it was 100% worth it. Our guide, Jenn, was an absolute gem. She somehow managed to keep up with my 10-year-old son's endless stream of "But why?" questions and answered every single one with patience and enthusiasm. I'm pretty sure she knows everything there is to know about Rocky Mountain National Park. The sunrise was unreal, the park was peaceful, and the wildlife clearly hadn't hit snooze yet. We saw elk, deer, ducks, a random beaver (which somehow became one of the kids' favorite sightings), and multiple moose. The highlight was watching a moose stroll into Sprague Lake and casually snack on aquatic plants while crossing the entire lake like she owned the place. Nature is wild. The open-air Jeep was surprisingly comfortable, and they had blankets and water ready to go, so the cool morning air wasn't an issue. One thing I really appreciated was how much Jenn respected the park. She obeyed the speed limits, safely pulled over for wildlife sightings, and never did anything that made us feel unsafe or that disturbed the animals. As the mom of a 6-year-old, I never once questioned her driving or decisions. I felt completely comfortable the entire time, which let me actually enjoy the scenery instead of playing backseat driver. She also took amazing family photos and gave us recommendations for things to do after the tour. Thanks to her suggestion, we hiked Alluvial Falls the next day, where our kids spent two hours climbing boulders and pretending they were mountain goats. The icing on the cake? Green Jeep Tours handled all the timed-entry reservations and park entrance logistics. Not having to battle the reservation system or set an alarm months in advance was worth its weight in gold. If you're visiting Estes Park and want to experience Rocky Mountain National Park without worrying about the planning—and with someone who actually knows what they're talking about—book Green Jeep Tours. And if you get Jenn, consider yourself lucky. We'd do it again in a heartbeat.
