We were grateful for the opportunity to have transportation to/from our hotel in Rishikesh to a Rajaji National Park/Tiger Reserve safari. We did not see tigers, but we saw more than 25 elephants. There were 16 in one herd that crossed the road roughly 40-50 yards behind our jeep! We also saw another small herd of six with two baby elephants, and another mother and baby in a dried river bed/ wash area where one bull elephant charged at and drove away another male. We also saw hornbills, a monitor lizard, and sambar deer alerting one another that there was a predator, likely a leopard, lying in a thicket. It was an amazing experience! The natural landscape is stunning as well. Words of advice to others: (1) If a foreigner like us, bring passports with you; (2) Cellphones/ phone caneras are not allowed in the park. We honored this, but noticed enforcement inequities in other jeeps; (3) Rishikesh traffic is heavy and chaotic, so it takes 45-60 minutes to get the the park and your waiting jeep and guide. All in all, this was an unbelievably amazing experience!

The driver was on time and took us to the safari. from there, we had to use the park jeeps. We saw mostly spotted deers, 1 elephant from afar, hens, peacocks and an eagle. I think the area we were in were mostly spotted deers. Interesting Safari
Dear Guest, Thank you for sharing your experience! We’re glad to hear that the driver was punctual and that you enjoyed the safari. It’s wonderful that you got to see spotted deer, peacocks, an elephant from afar, hens, and an eagle — even if the area was mostly home to deer, it sounds like a memorable wildlife experience. We appreciate your feedback and hope you join us again for more exciting safaris around Rishikesh! Warm regards, Rishikesh Day Tour Team
The safari itself took a couple of hours The anticipation of seeing the animals and hearing them was cool Managed to see an elephant but only the one which made the trip but I can imagine this is not always the case
