We can definitely recommend LA Rinjani. They had a great service. The food was really good, everything was always super lovely prepared. But the best was our Guide ! Hadi was awesome!! We always felt save and he was a very kind and lovely person. Also his English Skills were really good. Dandi were great as well !! The whole crew was the best.
I am extremely dissatisfied with this travel agency!!I paid $275 for the tour, only to discover other travelers in the same group who booked through different agencies paid just $200 - a significant price disparity. What’s more infuriating is that their promotional materials explicitly stated **porter service was included**, yet during the actual trip, I was forced to pay an additional ~$25 porter fee. This was a mandatory charge rather than a voluntary tip.
hi, Yes, the main porters included in our packages are responsible solely for carrying essential camping equipment and shared logistics. If you notice a higher price compared to other operators, this is often because the booking was made through an agency rather than directly with us. Agency bookings include additional service and operational fees. Should you wish for a porter to carry your personal belongings, such as your daypack, this service is available upon request and is subject to an additional fee, as it requires assigning a dedicated porter.
The Rinjani Trekking is a 6 star out of 5 experience in itself. However we found we paid almost double than all people in our group (they all stayed in the village the night before, only difference was the pick-up/drop-off from location in Lombok which didn't justify the price difference). Other than that, the guide was brilliant, we were very lucky with our group despite all people booking from different sources (mostly local where you can negotiate your price). The porters are heroes and cooked very tasty food and we felt supported all the way through.
Really good guide and goalkeeper. The food was excellent and the tents comfortable. A fantastic experience to do with friends! I recommend it :)
Incredibly intense and challenging hike. Not only was it long and arduous, it was also really steep, sandy and slippery. The pace was fast and we took minimal breaks. 90% of our group shortened the trek to 2D1N as a result. I would recommend trekkers to come prepared with thick clothing, otherwise it would be really difficult to fall asleep at the campsite (especially if it rains). Nonetheless, I really enjoyed the camaraderie with the guides, porters and other travellers in group. If you aren’t a seasoned trekker, I recommend that you opt for a private tour instead so that guide can cater to your speed. Big thank you to the guides Yasin and Atep and the porters who took great care of us! Cheers
We started our trip from April 21 to 24. Morsan provided us with 5 porters and 2 guides. Since day 1 they gave us the best service and guided us to every spot that was in our 4D3N trip planning. D1 from Sembalun to Pelawangan 2, we camped for a couple of hours, then to the summit. D2 continues to the Segara Anak Lake. D3 walk to post 3 Mandokan Lobak on the other side of the mountains, and D4 finished at Senaru. It was an amazing trip. Since I have knee problems, I was helped a lot by one of our guides Pak Adi. He even hold my hand whenever I was not confident to step on the ground 😁. On top of it, all of the porters and the guides helped us with everything to make our journey memorable. If you want to hike Mount Rinjani, just contact this travel. Morsan is a friendly person and he is ready to answer all of your questions. Thank you. 🙏
We did the 3D2N tour as a couple and absolutely loved it! First of all, it has to be said that the accommodation chosen by L.A Rinjani at the beginning of the adventure was awesome! The next morning we drove to the starting point of the national park in the back of a small truck and there was even a small medical check (no joke). Then the adventure started. The two porters (what a blatant performance in flip-flops!) and our guide Sinjan (he even spoke a little German!!!) really did their best to make the (very demanding) tour as pleasant as possible! They always set up the tent for us, cooked incredibly rich and delicious meals for us and provided us with tea (fresh ginger) and coffee. Sinjan is a very experienced guide with over 200 summit ascents and has a wealth of knowledge about the entire tour. Tips for climbing the Rinjani peak: We caught it extremely windy and therefore incredibly dusty and also relatively cold. A windproof jacket should definitely be in your luggage and also a cloth, ideally even ski goggles (no joke!!!) I myself could hardly enjoy the summit because I was freezing and could hardly see anything because of the dust in my eyes... very annoying. It only got better the next day. Luckily we had eye drops with us. All in all, a great adventure for active and healthy people with the necessary stamina and a thirst for adventure! The tour from the crater rim to Torean with the hot springs was really enjoyable and the summit something to be proud of. At this point many thanks again to Sinjan!
The service provided by the guides and the porters were great and we had an amazing experience! They were super friendly and helpful, and it was easy to communicate with them. Special shortout to Dani, Budi and Ahkmal for their patience as we were slow walkers. They were very prepared and were more than capable of handling our tour group. Would go with LA rinjani again if i ever want to climb rinjani in the future!
Had a fantastic time with LA rinjani for the 3D2N crater lake and summit tour on 7 Jun 2023. Aji was our guide and Dani was the secondary guide. They were very professional and knew their way around the mountain. They offered to help us down, or hold our bags to make it easier for us. Our group took a long time to get to the summit and Aji gave us the option of skipping the crater lake to rest which really helped with descent the next day. Dani was really caring and helped me a lot with the descent. Really wouldn’t have made it out of the mountain without him! Also, really appreciated the porters who carried and pitched tents for us. The food was good, and sleeping bags, mats and tents were clean and odor-free. If anything broke, they fixed it immediately. The hiking sticks they gave were super helpful too. Lastly, on the first night, I needed some flu tablets and asked Morsan where to find them - thinking that they would give me the address to the Pharma. But they showed up with flu tablets in 2 hours. I really appreciate them going the extra mile! We highly recommend LA rinjani!
Second time hiking the Rinjani. Reached the summit finally:) guide, porters and organizers were awesome. Very professional and accountable. It is a really Tough work however they will always put on their most beautiful smile :) I would definitely recommend the 4 days 3 nights trip which should allow you to enjoy even more the scenery, more time by the lake, the hot spring and the waterfall (not to be missed). Your knees will also thank you as the second day starting from Sembalum could be very long.
