A very nice and special experience. Everything was well arranged and the guides were great. It was very hard but with enough breaks and cookies it was manageable ;). The food was delicious and the atmosphere with the group was very cozy. Recommendation!

This trekking tour with Team Backpacker, guide Edi & his team of porters was simply awesome! In fact we opted for the 4 day, 3 night option which included a descent through the amazing ‘Jurassic Valley’. Of course, the Rinjani National Park was incredible- but the experience was really made for us through Edi’s knowledge, caring and attention to detail. A massive highlight of our trip was Edi’s wonderful smile and our on-the-hoof chats about all sorts of issues big & small. Edi is great company and was a real friend throughout. Whilst their English is limited, the porters were also delightful and their daily physical achievements were consistently off-the-charts. Summary: Team Backpacker & Edi came highly recommended by a friend & I will definitely be proposing this trip with Edi and team to my family & friends.

Climbing Mount Rinjani with this team was so fun! Team Backpacker put me with a tour agency called Hero Rinjani who were excellent. The guides were very good at keeping a good pace but letting us rest when needed. Big thank you to Jojo and Adi who were our guides! Also the porters were so impressive, they were able to carry all of the tents, sleeping mats, food and water for the trip and cooked us 3 proper full meals a day (banana pancakes for breakfast, nasi goreng or curry or mie goreng for lunch and dinner). The kit I hired was very good too and kept me warm at the top! Also the night of accommodation I stayed in the day before starting the hike was located with an amazing view of the mountain! Mt Rinjani itself was a challenge but such an achievement, getting to the summit for sunrise was an unforgettable experience. Also, walking the lake on day 2 and then the hot spring was so nice. The lake is absolutely stunning and untouched. The final day of trekking through the Torean trail was brilliant too. I highly recommend this experience!

We climbed Mount Rinjani on the 3D2N trek with Teambackpacker, it was an amazing experience that we will never forget. Our guide, Muli, and his team took great care of us and made sure everything was perfectly organized from start to finish. The food was delicious and more than enough. Had the best time ever! Booked it with Green Rinjani and had Dana and Ramatt as my guides! They were so kind and some of the best people ever! This hike was the best thing I have ever done in my life but it was also the toughest both mentally and physically I have ever done! You need to be fit and have a great mindset to be able to do this for sure! Our group was so nice and we became like a family together! So good food and cookies aswell and the service was 10/10! Could act not have recommended more! If you do this, book with Green Rinjani, you won’t regret it!

Our trek with Team Backpacker was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. The guides were professional, friendly, and really cared about our safety and comfort throughout the climb. They set a good pace, explained everything clearly, and were always ready with a smile and encouragement when the trail got tough. The porters were incredible — strong, kind, and somehow managed to carry everything up the mountain while still preparing delicious meals and setting up camp perfectly. The food was way better than I expected on a mountain trek! Everything was well organized, from pickup to permits to equipment. The views from the crater rim and summit were unforgettable, and I couldn’t have asked for a better team to share it with. Our experience with TB, a local company, was the best. My husband and I did the 3D2N trek and everything was excellent from start to finish. The team is outstanding—very well prepared to handle any situation and always with a smile. Our guide, Abam, was extremely kind and professional, which made the experience even better. We were very satisfied and 100% recommend this group of local guides.

We booked a private tour (3 days 2 nights) because we didn’t want to adjust to anyone else and wanted to walk up and down at our own pace. We were accompanied by our guide Edwin, and we honestly can’t say anything negative about him 👍 The tour was really challenging, especially the night hike to the summit, but it’s an experience you’ll never forget and one where everyone reaches their limits. Warm clothing is very important — it’s extremely cold at the top — and good footwear is a must (it really has to withstand a lot). The food was excellent, nothing was lacking: delicious meals, no one is going to starve. We hired a porter who carried our backpacks for the entire tour (€70 for both bags). All in all, it was a great experience that everyone should do at least once.
