A wonderful first tour for our first time in Reykjavik, HIGHLY recommend! Such a fun—and delicious!—way to be introduced to Icelandic culture. Despite the rain, our guide, Dagur (Day), was very welcoming, a super knowledgeable host, infusing his love for his country, and making the tour and history fun and interesting. Our kids really loved the seafood and lamb, things they aren't usually willing to try back home. The pacing, order, and quantity of the food was really great. We learned about the city AND the food and had the most delicious dishes which we would never have known to try otherwise! A nice reminder that there's no replacing having a local show you around. So glad we did the tour! [Pretty sure I recognized his hand from the news too—ha!] Thank you Dagur!
Had a great time with our guide Dagur. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and engaging. Food was wonderful, not really a fish guy but the arctic char was delicious, better than salmon. The food tour is what I needed to be more adventurous with local cuisine.
Tomas Howser does a good job in selecting interesting and delicious local food to try. He is also a fun guide.
Rosie was amazing! Very knowledgeable. I love how authentic the food was and the fact she was acutally from Iceland, unlike some other tours. She had a lot To tell us and we loved it! Food was great and exactly what we were looking for.
My husband and I enjoyed meeting new people that also liked food. Our tour guide Gudny was terrific. She told us about the history of iceland's food and how the food is prepared. I would love to share the photos, but I believe the presentation is part of the great experience!
We had an excellent experience on the Reykjavík food tour. Our guide Agla was excellent, she made the tour fun and informative. The stops were well thought out and each offered a unique cuisine. Trying the Greenland shark was quite the experience!
Do it! We had an excellent, knowledgeable guide in Stevie. It was not just about the food but the whole history of the city. Thoroughly enjoyable experience.
The food was good and I love Reykjavik but the real treat was our guide, Dagur. An Icelander with great English, he set a light, inclusive tone that created a friendly group feeling and he managed our ragtag, sometimes straggling flock expertly. He shared lore about Icelandic culture but also showed up as himself — and what’s more important about any country than the people?
What great food! And our guide, Day Larusson, put the dishes in the context of Icelandic culture and values so that I could really appreciate the choices. This was my way of starting my Iceland adventure—with a fully belly and restaurant recommendations to use around Reykjavík!!
This was a last minute adventure for us, and we’re SO glad we did it! Mimir was our guide and was fantastic- geniune, funny, and very knowledgeable of the city. This was a wonderful way to visit the Reykjavík , sample authentic Icelandic foods, and learn some things about the culture of Iceland. Highly recommend!!! My 13 old son LOVED this so much! Wish we could go again!
