07:00 Saída do hotel. 08:00 Chegada ao Refúgio de Vida Silvestre Curú 08h20 começa a caminhada, terá um percurso de 2 quilômetros em que nos levará 2 horas onde poderemos apreciar a flora e fauna do local (Macacos, Veados, Muitos pássaros e muito mais 10h20: No final da caminhada teremos bebidas e frutas frescas além de tempo livre para visitar o souvenir e a praia 11h30 Partimos de volta ao hotel 12h30 chegada ao hotel

This was a once in a lifetime experience for us. Ernesto was engaged, knowledgeable, and expert at spotting all manner of amazing birds, animals, and plant life. His insider knowledge about how and where to spot the most magnificent birds was brilliant! Highly recommend and highly grateful to Ernesto who genuinely MADE our day!
We had a great time and saw many animals from monkeys, macaws, ant eater, etc it was a lot of fun and definitely worth it for our honeymoon. Ernesto is a great guide and provided yummy snacks for us during break! Really appreciated that !
A wonderful experience! The environment and wildlife were magical, and Ernesto was a fantastic guide! He is incredibly knowledgeable about the natural environment and had many fascinating facts to share. He is an expert at spotting hidden wildlife and interesting flora, and made sure to point them out so we could see them too. Our family had such a great time with Grasshopper Tours and would highly recommend them for other nature-loving adventurers!

Ernesto was an amazing guide through Curu Wildlife Refuge. He spotted so many animals for us; I'm sure we would have only seen 1/5 as many on our own. He was also kind and engaging with my 11-year-old. Highly recommended!
Grasshopper trips are individually tailored to fit your needs. The smiles of my son and Ernesto, our guide, were so delightful when they spotted an unusual bird. The long lens of my son ´s camera captured award worthy flying birds with the guide ´s help. Wish we had the time to book other adventures with him.
During our stay in Santa Teresa (Nicoya Peninsula), my wife and I booked a private tour for the Curu Wildlife Reserve. Owner, guide and driver, Ernest, was the perfect host for our sightseeing tour of Curu. We saw several animals and birds, including a “sweet treat” at the end. Ernest is very knowledgeable and sets a pace that allowed us to contemplate and absorb what we were seeing. Ernest also provides a clean, safe and top-of-the-line vehicle. This tour is a perfect half-day visit.
Our resort helped us organize a tour through a wildlife refuge with Ernesto. During the ride to and from he was pleasant and taught us all about the area. During our hike he pointed out the many animals, helped us get great pics, and taught us about the plants and trees as well. We had an amazing time and look forward to returning for one of their other excursions!
My hotel organised 3 trips for me with Ernesto and these were the best trips I had while in Costa Rica Rica.Ernesto is super kind,very knowledgeable and takes care of you from start to finish.I really enjoyed exploring Cabo Blanco, Curu Wildlife Refuge and the trip to the waterfalls.He brings binoculars so you can see the animals very close,you can learn about all plants and local culture. Highly recommended ❤️🥳
My husband and I had the absolute pleasure of doing two amazing tours with Ernesto from Grasshopper Tours in Santa Teresa: the Curu Wildlife Reserve and the Montezuma Waterfalls. Both experiences were unforgettable and far exceeded our expectations. Ernesto is not only incredibly knowledgeable about Costa Rican nature and wildlife, but he also takes the time to share his passion in a way that’s engaging and easy to understand. At Curu, we spotted an incredible variety of animals—monkeys, birds, parrots - thanks to Ernesto’s trained eye and telescope, which brought the wildlife up close in stunning detail. For the Montezuma Waterfalls, Ernesto made sure we arrived early enough to be the first ones there. We had the magical experience of jumping and swimming in the falls all to ourselves. It felt like something out of a dream! On both tours, Ernesto treated us to fresh coconuts and delicious local snacks—such a thoughtful and refreshing touch after our adventures. These tours were among the best parts of our time in Costa Rica. If you're in Santa Teresa, don’t miss the chance to explore with Ernesto. He truly made our experience personal, memorable, and deeply enjoyable.
