This was a fantastic experience. They are very patient and clear on how to create your own dish with some opportunities to add your own twist to it. Would highly recommend this experience to any one who loves ramen and gyoza.
It's a great hands-on experience. The owner and instructor explained each step and the background expertly - then we took the steps which we appreciated. The best way to learn for us! We would recommend this class.
Our overall experience was amazing! The instructors were very professional, friendly and knowledgeable . We loved the experience and would highly recommend this course with others. The food was amazing as well.
It was fantastic. Our chef Keigo was an excellent teacher who attended to all the details necessary to cook our dishes. He was personable, warm and friendly and carefully walked us through the entire process.
Wonderful hands-on experience ❤️ LOVED IT!!! Delicious dinner prepared by our hands. Keigo (instructor) was super nice and explained every step clearly. Juat know that the LOCATION is a bit difficult to find. It is next to a store that sells sweets. All you see from the street are 2 black doors. Next, you press a code to call the apartment upstairs and you will take the elevator to the 6th floor. Overall, a fabulous experience!!
This was a fantastic end to our amazing trip to Japan. Great experience and who knew making Ramen and Gyoza was so easy - it definitely was with our hosts from Sakura Cook. A really fun experience which I’d definitely recommend.
Our ramen and gyoza cooking class with Keigo was one of our favorite excursions in Japan! Not only did we learn how to make two of our favorite foods, but we finally learned the secrets behind dough texture - why some doughs (like my empanada and pasta doughs) end up too stretchy or not stretchy enough. Keigo shared so many helpful techniques and tricks throughout the class, including one that involved using your feet! The class was hands-on, engaging, and full of practical tips we can actually use at home. Best of all, the meal we created was absolutely delicious. Keigo was delightful, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable. He did a fantastic job explaining the techniques. This was a memorable and delicious.
Had an amazing time during this cooking class. The instructors were patient and very helpful. They capture photos for you during the experience and send as a Google Drive at the end of the class which was an unexpected surprise. I would definitely recommend!
AMAZING!!! Fumi and Risa were the most amazing teachers with a great sense of humor! We were a family of 8 with our age ranges from 9 years to 86 years and everyone had a great time. The studio is incrediblely clean and organized, the class is easy to follow, fun, and ver organized with printed steps for you to take home. Everyone got to participate and the meal was amazing. Everyone wanted to do another class with the ladies. Arigato!
This is a recommended activity for anyone interested in the end to end process of making these two staple Japanese meals. We added this activity to our itinerary as we make our own dumplings and were interested in the comparison. Our host Keigo presented the process in an easy to understand and follow manner and there were some great tips and interesting alternatives along the way. Some of the utensils used had small adaptations to them which just made total sense…so we will look out for them in our travels e.g. lid with an inbuilt stand. The end result considering the time and steps involved was a surprise - utterly delicious.
