Travesías naturales was so beautiful Rainer was so nice he was amazing tour guide and I hope others get the opportunity to have him as a tour guide and if your lucky you will have him as well as a tour guide he is very experienced and you will love his story he was a true inspiration, thank you “Sassy”
Steve was a great guide and made the tour exciting for us. We successfully navigated the rapids level 2-4 (unfortunately only a few level 4) together and had a great day with a subsequent lunch (the location was run down, but the food was okay). On the way back to our vehicle, Carlos repeatedly overtook dangerously, including in blind curves. It shouldn't be like that with guests in the van.
We did rafting on a very rainy day and still it was sensational. The instructor Luis and the paparazzi Alejandro were amazing. Exciting tour and very well conducted, safely despite the class III / IV rope. Pura Vida!
Very nice experience as this rafting descent. Our Plush Guide was very professional, these explanations are clear, and we feel safe. What to say about landscapes, sensations, the meal break except “Pura Vida!” It is accessible to beginners “sportsmen”, it is not a quiet walk on a river, there is a little commitment (fast class IV) and you have to listen to the Guide.
We had an amazing day rafting with the guys from Travesias Naturales. They picked us up at the lodge. The ride to the river was already an adventure. Our guide Kender was really good and helping us a lot as this was our first time. We had some good laughs and both the kids enjoyed a ride upfront of the boat while going down the rapids. And afterwards we got a tasteful lunch, which was deserved after 3,5 hours rafting. I really recommend using these guys when going rafting.
If you come to Costa Rica it is a must to raft on the Pacuare River, happy to do this experience at the hands of Travesías Naturales. Exceptional people. We were lucky enough to have the Teddy guide, a great professional. Recommended 100*100. Pura Vida.
We rafted on the Pacuare River at the end of June 2024 with the company Travias Naturales. We went as a family and for us it was the first time. The company took great care of us. It was our turn as Captain Teddy. It taught us how to function in the boat and although there were more difficult times, it made us feel safe at all times. He also found time to tell us about the indigenous people. He was also showing us the fauna of the place and even found a poisonous frog.We all found it very professional. The food we were offered at the end consisted of sandwiches, ham, cheese and fruit. All fresh and delicious. I recommend this company 100 percent.
Great experience yesterday, the team led by Teddy was the best, great guides, totally recommended, we will return in October
Great dedication and excellent service from your guides, a lot of professionalism and great charisma for the children, a great family day, unforgettable, without a doubt!! Thank you
I would recommend using another guide company. We arrived at the sketchy location to an underwhelming introduction, If you want to call it that. More like “park there, get in van here”. Before getting in, my girlfriend needed to use the restroom, in which she was guided to a neighboring apartment with people actively living inside. Weird. But we get on our way, an hour long trip later and we’re at the river. I’m approached by the driver who asks for pay, but says cash only, which was never mentioned on the website. He says it’s ok, we’ll stop at an atm on the way home. We get on our trip and the river itself was absolutely amazing. Tons of rapids. Canyons. Deep in the jungle. Beautiful. You should do a (different) wwr tour on the pacuare. But our guide was not the best. He didn’t bring any energy to the trip and though the river was low, I felt we got stuck a lot more often than we should have. Lunch time was weird. He was adamant that we not be around when he prepared the food. No clue what that was about (speculate for yourself). But food was good. We finished up after lunch and any good vibes had all gone. Everyone just quiet the rest of the ride. We got back to the van where they offered an overly expensive picture package ($60 per couple unless the whole group agreed and then $30 a couple). On the way home, we got stuck in traffic that made the hour drive a 2.5 hour drive. Still needed to go by the atm, so they take me by and I try all 3 of the first place’s atms before accepting that they just don’t accept my card. I go to another that he guides me to and get the money. When I get back, my gf informs me that after I got out, the guide began angrily talking to the driver about me and gave an insulting gesture towards me. Real classy. Overall, I suggest using a more professional company. This just felt like 3 guys with a van and a raft.
