Thrilling adventure that offers great value for money (c£60 for a five hour buggy hire for two, plus optional 10 euros each for decent lunch, optional 5 euros each for bandanas if you don’t have your own, optional 15 euros each to get into the beautiful Aphrodite Baths and waterfalls). Highly recommend this for a brilliant view of unique Cyprus sites (eg turtle beach) that you likely wouldn’t otherwise get to as they have off-road access. Bring swimwear. Wear old clothes as you will get totally filthy! We’d never done anything like it before and would 100% do it again for amazing views, incredible swim locations, driving thrills!
We booked via Tui. Most of the trip was very pleasant with lots of interesting things to see. However there were too many stops for breaks. Every 15/20 mins we were pausing, even if sometimes it was just for a walk around. I wanted more time in the car. The female tour guide was incredible rude and treated us all like children. She shouted at us for not being fast enough to get in the van while we were queued up waiting to get out driving licenses back. Drove like a madwoman and really soured our experience at the end of the day. Make sure to bring your own bandana or scarf to cover your face. Own goggles even better! Sunglasses not required..
Booked our trip via viator. Our 7 year old said it was the best trip ever. Was a bit nervous driving a buggy as never driven abroad before but was all fine they make sure someone leads the trip and someone stays at the back to keep everyone together. Stopped for a bit of lunch which was lovely- we pre booked before we got on the buggy so was ready when we arrived. Only bit of feedback would be to have more time at the waterfall but was a great trip!
Hello, We booked a 5hr buggy tour with golden ride everything was good until after the 1st location. We started talking to the managing lady(don’t know her name) we were telling her we wanted to also book motorcycles as we are bikers and wanted to spend some time riding too as well as for social media as we make bike content. We then proceeded to show her our social account of our motorbikes and the lady said “are you Turkish” , I said yes I am Turkish and she said “I don’t like you, I don’t like Turks”. We felt extremely uncomfortable that she had even made a comment like this. We are very respectful people and came to enjoy the beautiful Cyprus island. I understand there is tension from 1974 however, this was very wrong and rude for her to make a comment towards individuals like us who have done nothing to her. Even if she did not like Turkish people as a customer she could have not said this to our face and make us feel uncomfortable while we are on your tour. Apart from this we actually enjoyed the tour itself and tried to make the most of it despite feeling so uncomfortable and attacked for being Turkish. Please do better , it is unacceptable to treat a customer this way when we have not done anything.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are genuinely surprised and saddened to read your review, as the comments you describe are completely inconsistent with our values and with the way we treat every customer, regardless of nationality, ethnicity or background. We categorically deny that such a statement was made. Our business has welcomed visitors from all over the world for more than 25 years, including many Turkish-speaking guests, and we are proud to treat everyone with the same respect and hospitality. We also have CCTV cameras at our premises, and nothing has ever been brought to our attention that would support such an allegation. It is important to clarify the circumstances that led to your booking. Your initial enquiry was to rent motorcycles. Unfortunately, we had to explain that we could not proceed with a motorcycle rental because the driving licences you presented were issued in the occupied northern part of Cyprus. Under the laws and insurance requirements that apply in the Republic of Cyprus, we are unable to rent vehicles using those licences, as our insurance would not provide valid cover. This is a legal and insurance requirement that applies to our business and is entirely unrelated to a customer's nationality or ethnicity. Rather than simply turning you away, we offered you an alternative by recommending our guided buggy tour, which you accepted and subsequently joined. If we truly held the views attributed to us in your review, it would make little sense for us to have gone out of our way to find an alternative activity so that you could still enjoy your time with us. It is possible that, in light of the disappointment of not being able to rent motorcycles and the sensitive history of Cyprus, assumptions were made about the reason for our decision. However, we categorically reject the allegation that anyone at our company made the discriminatory remarks described in your review. Those words were never spoken. We are pleased that you enjoyed the tour itself, but we cannot accept a review based on statements that are simply untrue and do not reflect what actually occurred. We wish you all the best and thank you for visiting Cyprus.
Great day out, very well organised and good equipment Food at restaurant is worth ordering, very nice
This is a brilliant tour, done other buggy tours in different countries, but this is the best, we saw beautiful places, stopped for a really tasty lunch, it was a perfect day,
You get covered in dust. Practically to get yourself entirely into the washing machine There is a stop to swim at the beach, another stop to eat or rest, and a final one at the waterfalls.
If you are on the fence about booking this Cyprus buggy tour because of safety or comfort concerns, let me reassure you: just book it! I was slightly anxious before our trip. I worried the buggies would be uncomfortable or feel unsafe, but my fears vanished the moment we started. The buggies were surprisingly comfortable, well-maintained, and felt completely secure throughout the entire journey. Our guides were absolutely amazing. They took total control and ensured the entire group navigated the public roads with zero stress. Once we hit the off-road tracks, their expertise really shined. They guided us perfectly through the rough terrain, making the adventure thrilling but completely safe. The itinerary was spectacular. Visiting Turtle Beach and swimming in the crystal blue sea was a massive highlight. For lunch, we stopped at a fantastic local cafe. The tour company pre-booked our orders right when we set off, so everything was ready and efficient. Finishing the day at the stunning Adonis Baths and waterfalls was the perfect end to an incredible day. We had the best time it was a flawless, high-energy experience. I cannot recommend this tour enough!
Booked a buggy safari on-line with Golden Ride. We arrived at their shop in Coral Bay & was quickly picked up and taken to their site for the start of our tour. From the check in, safety briefing & banter from our guide, this was a fantastic day out with some me great stops along the way. These guys are so professional and I highly recommend if you are looking to take a buggy safari or in Coral Bay. This was our first safari tour & we will be back Thanks to the team for a great day out PS: Lunch was delicious and worth the cost
Would highly recommend to anyone.
