Deixá-lo-ei em todos os monumentos, esperarei por si após cada visita, levá-lo-ei para a próxima visita e assim por diante. Não imponho um limite de tempo para a visita de cada monumento, dependerá de si. Não há pressa neste passeio, não existe hora para terminar. O meu objetivo é que, no final, fique satisfeito. Este é o primeiro monumento a visitar, demora cerca de 1: 30h a visitar. Estarei esperando por você no próximo monumento. O Palácio Nacional de Queluz, também conhecido por Palácio Real de Queluz, é uma residência real portuguesa, no concelho de Sintra, que foi construída como tal entre 1747 e 1760 por projecto do arquitecto Jean-Baptiste Robillon e a mando do Príncipe Pietro (Pedro) III (1717-1786) marido da Rainha Maria I (1734-1816) que transformou uma residência de campo pré-existente. Chamado de "Versalhes de Portugal", o palácio servia sobretudo como local de entretenimento da família real: aí se realizavam concertos, touradas e fogos de artifício, sobretudo por ocasião de feriados religiosos ou outros eventos. A Rainha Maria I viveu aqui muitos anos, mas fora isso o palácio não era muito frequentado pela família real. Ainda é utilizada para concertos e como local de recepção de chefes de Estado estrangeiros, alberga também a Escola Portuguesa de Arte Equestre. O bilhete custa 10eur

A história mostra que a partir de 5.000 aC houve a ocupação desta área pelas comunidades neolíticas, graças a objetos que permanecem até os dias que demonstram esse fato. Em 1200 aC havia também uma aldeia neste local, que deixou vários fragmentos de cerâmica. No século 8, a conquista muçulmana de Al-andalus começou no território ibérico. No século X foi fundado o castelo, administrado pelo califado de Córdoba. Em 1147 termina o domínio árabe sobre o castelo, com a conquista de Lisboa por D. Afonso Henriques. Em 1287, D. Dinis doa a cidade de Sintra à Rainha Santa Isabel. Em 1995 o Castelo e a Serra de Sintra são classificados pela UNESCO como Paisagem Cultural - Património Mundial. Em 2007 começa a reabilitação do Castelo, já na posse dos Parques de Sintra e em 2013 o Castelo é aberto ao público, com reformas e adaptações para os visitantes. bilhete custa 8eur
Neste monumento, você visitará os belos jardins e o Palácio. Construída depois de 1840 por Maria II de Bragança (1819-1853), como presente de casamento para seu marido, o Rei Fernando II de Portugal (também conhecido como Fernando II da Saxônia-Coburgo-Gotha; 1819-1885), sobre as ruínas de um Convento gerosolimitano do séc. XV e projectado pelo arquitecto e barão alemão Ludwig von Eschwege, o palácio encontra-se sob a protecção da UNESCO, tendo sido incluído no Património Mundial (tal como todo o centro histórico de Sintra) em 1995, e no dia 7 Julho de 2007 foi eleito uma das 7 Maravilhas de Portugal. Esplêndido palácio e capela em estilo romântico imerso em um parque com lagos, cavernas, poços e fontes. Construída por Carvalho Monteiro no início do século como residência privada, a quinta manteve-se em mãos privadas até ser adquirida pela Câmara Municipal em 1997 Com a ajuda do arquiteto italiano Luigi Manini, ele começou a transformar a vila e a propriedade ao redor no lugar fascinante que vemos hoje. É difícil imaginar que um edifício deste tamanho e pompa fosse, até recentemente, uma residência privada em vez de um palácio real. A propriedade de quatro hectares é tão interessante quanto o palácio. Combina jardins formais com bosques selvagens atravessados por caminhos, pontes decoradas, cavernas, lagos, cachoeiras e fontes, tudo situado entre samambaias gigantes e sequoias americanas. O terreno também abriga uma série de túneis subterrâneos e dois grandes poços que já foram supostamente usados em cerimônias de iniciação esotérica. bilhete custa 8eur

O Cabo da Roca é o ponto mais ocidental de Portugal continental e o Cabo mais ocidental da Europa continental. Situa-se na freguesia de Colares, concelho de Sintra. O local pode ser visitado, não ao extremo, mas até uma área a uma altitude de 140 m. O promontório forma o extremo ocidental da Serra de Sintra, precipitando-se no Oceano Atlântico. Luís Vaz de Camões descreveu-o como o lugar “Onde acaba a terra e começa o mar” (in Os Lusíadas, Canto III). [1] Um motivo de pedra com uma placa marca esta característica geográfica para todos os que o visitam. Sua flora é variada e, em muitos casos, possui espécies únicas, sendo objeto de inúmeros estudos que se estendem também à geomorfologia, entre outros. Na zona existe um farol (Farol do Cabo da Roca). Situa-se no Parque Natural Sintra-Cascais, numa zona de fácil acesso e grande fluxo turístico, com grande afluência de frequentadores. Antonio was a great tour guide, communicated extremely well before and during the tour. He planned an action packed day for us and we got to see way more than we would have ever seen on our own. The only criticism is that it was probably a bit too ambitious for our family with 3 kids... He was very open to modifying the tour to suit our particular needs and all of his suggestions were spot on! I would highly recommend this tour.

Amazing! I have not one negative thing to say about this tour. Antonio was the best. He goes above and beyond to make your trip wonderful. He will plan the tour for you, or if you have places that you want to see, he will take you there. I wish we would have had more time. We visited places that would just not have been easy to do on our own. If I ever make it back to Portual, I will be reaching out for his assistance.

I've traveled the world and always use tour guides to introduce each destination, but this was the best. Antonio went above and beyond my expectations to craft the ideal Sintra experience. We visited multiple sites, hiked, and added visits I didn't think of taking, but I'm glad we did. This includes returning along the beautiful west coast beaches instead of the highway. He was easy to travel with, very knowledgeable, and enjoys showing the best of Portugal. I booked this private tour with Antonio based solely on all of his incredible reviews - and they were not wrong! Antonio is an incredible host, guide and tour operator. He is punctual, thoughtful, warm, and overflowing with deep knowledge of the history and facts of all of the stops along the way. We were also able to take advantage of his "insider" connections and familiarity with the various landmarks - he knew what times were less busy, we were able to skip line ups, and stop at the best shops for coffee, treats, photo ops and souvenirs. Antonio's van is perfectly equipped and immaculately maintained. He offered bottles of water throughout the day, and the air conditioning provided a much needed reprieve between stops. I would recommend this tour to absolutely anyone, of any age (as long as physical mobility isn't an issue - there are a tonne of steps and stairs!), that is visiting Lisbon - don't miss out on Sintra and Portugal's incredible coastline. Antonio packed everything in that we wanted to see, and was happy to make adjustments based on our personal preferences. The value for the cost of his tour is stellar - absolutely worth every penny. I highly recommend investing this day into your trip to Lisbon. We were so grateful to have Antonio show us these spectacular sights, and he was more than happy to take photos for us throughout. Antonio is the perfect guide! Kind, friendly, very knowledgeable, speaks excellent English, well organized, punctual, good driver, professional… and good company! We’re so glad we booked him for our day tour in Sintra! We were able to see and do much more than if we had tried to do it ourselves by car or train.. and so much less hassle. These palaces and castles are such busy places, but Antonio knows exactly which routes, places to stop, recommendations, etc to make the day as easy and efficient as possible.
