Seu primeiro destino será o renomado Vale dos Reis, local de grande significado histórico. Dentro do vale, você encontrará um total de 63 tumbas, cada uma contando uma história única do passado antigo do Egito. Em seguida, continuaremos sua jornada até o magnífico Templo da Rainha Hatshepsut, também conhecido como Deir el-Bahari. A tumba de Tutancâmon (KV62) foi descoberta em 1922 pelo arqueólogo britânico Howard Carter no Vale dos Reis, perto de Luxor, no Egito. Esta foi uma importante descoberta arqueológica, já que a tumba de Tutancâmon foi uma das únicas tumbas reais egípcias antigas encontradas praticamente intactas. Tutancâmon foi um faraó da 18ª dinastia que governou por volta de 1332-1323 aC. Ele ascendeu ao trono ainda criança e seu reinado foi relativamente curto, apenas cerca de 9 anos. A tumba continha mais de 5.000 artefatos, incluindo o sarcófago e caixões de Tutancâmon, móveis funerários, carruagens, roupas, joias e vários outros tesouros. Muitos desses artefatos estão agora alojados no Museu Egípcio no Cairo e são grandes atrações para os visitantes. A tumba estava notavelmente bem preservada em comparação com outras tumbas reais, que foram saqueadas ao longo dos séculos. Nasser was an excellent guide. Very knowledgeable and passionate about Egypt and its history. This was our first private tour and he put us at ease and looked after us well. He even accommodated a very short notice change of pick up location after we discovered our river cruise boat had docked somewhere other than expected. Ahmed is a good guide who knows his subject. He is patient and helpful and kindly took pictures of us at the different places of the visit. There was also a visit to a shop for a demonstration of stonemasons and we do not push you to buy.
