Jakhu Temple é um antigo templo dedicado à divindade hindu Hanuman. Ele está situado em Jakhu Hill e é um dos principais lugares para se visitar em Shimla. De acordo com a mitologia, uma flecha mortal feriu o irmão do Senhor Rama, Lakshmana, quando ele estava lutando a batalha com o rei demônio Ravana. Ok - the tour company were first rate . Rinku spoke almost flawless English and was both knowledgeable and good company. The driver also has to receive a mention as navigating Shimlas traffic is ( I imagine ) no easy task . The downside itself was Shimla itself , which I admit was not enhanced by an almost continual downpour but as someone who has been travelling in India for the past 5-6 months was somewhat disappointing .

Loved the areas and sights around Shimla. Kulfri had less to interest me although there was clearly activities (eg. horseriding ) that would appeal to others
Great guide and overall a fun experience. Loved the fact that enough time was spent at each of the spots and we were allowed to tailor the experience to our own wishes. While the tour was for 6 hours - we felt the time flew by.

This tour is a must do. Seeing Shimla and learning it's history from different points in the city then taking a walking tour of the Mall was made all the more interesting by our guide Sanjay. Sanjay is a local of Shimla and his knowledge of the history of Shimla really adds another layer to the tour. He goes above and beyond. Sanjay is an absolute master of his role. If he is your guide you won't be disappointed. This tour is a MUST DO.
