We loved this tour especially the Mitad del Mundo Museum. Our guide at the museum, Arnold, was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable, funny and kind. We learned so much about the equator and Ecuadorian history and culture. Our guide, Diego, was very knowledgeable as well and very nice. Our driver Juan Carlos, was very nice as well and he was a careful driver. Such a fun tour!
Excellent tour and worth it. It was only my husband and I who were signed up for the tour so it ended up being very private. Our tour guide, Juan Pablo (aka JP) was very personable and knowledgeable. Our driver Dante was also great. The Teleforico trip was excellent. We got there before all the other tourists and almost had the swings on ourselves. It was nice and sunny so we go to see clearly all the high points. Recommend to bring a little TP as the bathrooms don't have them. We really enjoyed and highly recommend the Intinan Equator Museum (where the real equator line is). We learned about the interesting cultural history and got to actively participate in some activities to demonstrate the Cornelius effect. My husband was crowned an "egg master" for being to balance an egg n a nail on the equator line. Instead of going to an optional our offered, we asked our guide and driver to take us to a restaurant and treat them to lunch where we can taste authentic local cuisine. We went to Vicente where we had the traditional potato soup and La Tonga.
Our tour guide Diego shared lots of interesting information on Quito and Ecuador. We loved Middle of the World!
The trip was very well organised. Unfortunately the Teleferico was closed for reparing but our guide Jimena organised us I think even better activities instead of that, considered what we wanted. Very special and secure trip. Thank You, Jimena!
The tour of the old part of Quito was interesting, but our favorite part of the tour was the ride up the Teleferiqo for the incredible views. The Mitad del Mundo museum was also interesting. The exhibits showing the effects of being on or near the equator were scientifically correct, although to demonstrate the incredibly small effects of moving a few feet to either side required a bit of "slight of hand". All in good fun.
Excellent tour, very good service and excellent guide. Our guide was Diego, and he has a great knowledge of the places we visited. Super recommended!
Muchas gracias por su excelente comentario. Esperamos poderles ayudar nuevamente en el futuro a conocer mucho de lo que ofrece Quito y sus alrededores
We visited both the Government Mitad del Mundo Complex and the adjacent privet 0'0'0' latitude complex which was very interactive and fun.
This was a great place to get a mix of culture, science and history regarding the equator and it's unique role in each heading. Of the two "Equator sites" I feel this is the best.
Dear customer, thank you so much for your nice review. We appreciate it so much. It is really important to us because other people will know about our services. We are happy to know you had a great experience with us. Hope to see you soon again, we will make sure you have an amazing time!
We went on a day trip with our guide, Diego in April 2019. Although the weather was a bit rainy that day, we enjoyed the experience greatly. Diego was very well informed in history, culture and nature. He explained everything very well in both English and Spanish. The time spent at the different sites was sufficient to get a good impression. I recommend this 100%
We had chosen the full day tour because we wanted to see more of the city of Quito during our stay.. We finally ended up being only 3 people and got a "private" tour with Daniel. Daniel is a very passionate guide and has a great knowledge of the city. We began our tour with the TeleferiQ Cable Car where we ride up 4050 m. high to land on the Pichincha ladders, This site offered an outstanding panoramic view of almost the whole Quito City and the volcanoes (Antisana, Cotopaxi and Cayambe) although there was a foggy cloud over the city due the many fires. Then Daniel took us to the Middle of the World Site. Afterwards, we visited the Inti Ñan Museum, a scientific and cultural museum located in the real location of the Equator Line. We hit the road again heading back to the city of Quito Historical Center where we had lunch (great Andean cuisine). We continued the tour visiting the Old town of Quito, the UNESCO World Patrimony, stepped into the beautiful colonial churches around the San Francisco Square and Church, the Independence Square and the main Cathedral, the Presidential Palace Building, and the iconic La Compañía de Jesus church. We didn't have the time to go to Panecillo Hill before getting back to our hotel. We had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend Daniel.
Dear Mireille, Thank you so much for your review! We are glad to hear that you really enjoyed this Full day tour with Daniel as your guide. Warm regards from LA team!
