Fantastic trip organised by South Sinai travel. We did a 4 night cruise on Ms Nile Style ship. Food was fantastic, staff all friendly and courteous especially the ship Captain John Michel. There were well organised trips at every destination with our own English speaking guide, and private transfers by boat, car and horse drawn carriage at each of the temple/sight destinations. Cannot recommend this more highly. We loved every minute of it
We had a great experience! For two days we were picked up from the hotel directly in a clean and nice van, with a driver named Fares, whose driving is very smooth and safe. On the way there we noticed that the tour guide RAMY (who has a masters in Egyptology and speaks proper English) has a vast and detailed knowledge about everything related to Ancient Egypt. This made our time with him very special and we were able to enjoy all of the sights from new and interesting perspectives. The second day we went to three Coptic monasteries, one of them a historically preserved monastery on the West Bank, still kept in its impressive ancestry. Overall highly recommended and it’s also very comfortable to deal with their office through Mr. Emil.
With our excellent and knowledgeable tour guide I hope I have the spelling correct Husani or just Ani), we were so please at the level of detail he shared with us. Also, he navigated the sites so we would see the best ones by not allowing to fall into the usual tourist traps like making sure we saw Ramses V/VI and not ones most would see first (Tutankhamen’s major sites are in the Cairo museum for example). What was a breath of fresh air was he gave us the tour but let us explore on our own.
Descend into the places where Pharaohs entered the afterlife. See the decorated walls in close-up splendor. Our guide was great, knew her stuff and presented it well. Nicely, she left us alone for a while to let us explore on our own.
Very well organized tour with a great guide. Definately a must if visiting Luxor. The guide has a great knowledge of all the sites and the local life around the city.
The temp was around 42 . Very hot but the upside is that there are very few people. So no queues, ample time to take photos and one can spend as much time in the tombs. No crowds. Shopkeepers do a lot of hassling in terms of bargaining . There is Good Lebanese restaurant in hotel steigenberger , Luxor. Tombs are bful and the colors are intact even after 7k years and the landscape of the valley is superb.
We loved visiting. The story of pharaohs is fascinating and the significance of the West Bank is highlighted in this area. No visit to Egypt would be complete without experiencing these tombs
Ahmad was a great tour guide...we highly recommend him. The entire West Bank tour was great especially the granite factory
When I first met up with my tour guide, I informed her that I had been on a full day west bank and east bank tour the previous day and had booked this tour thinking I might need more time at the same sites to see everything in detail. I didn't need more time at the intended sites, so I asked whether they were flexible enough to show me some other sites that were not on the normal agenda. Luckily they were and they showed me the Workers Tombs (The Theban Necropolis) and Al Aqaleta temple, which was amazing. The only negative thing I have to say is that I wasn't offered any water (which was stated as a complimentary inclusion), but instead when we stopped to get water, I had to not only pay for mine but also pay for the guides' water and coffee. I tipped of course, but to expect me to pay for those things was odd.
Egypt Tailor Made Tours ensured this was a day we wouldn’t forget!!! We started the day with an amazing sunrise hot air balloon ride and then explored the temples on the West Bank. We loved learning about about the history. The tour company made sure we had plenty of waters and snacks for the day. HIGHLY recommend Egypt Tailor Made Tours!!!
