Private Sunset Felucca Ride em Aswan

We had an absolutely fantastic time with Omar! We originally booked just a sunset felucca ride, but after speaking with him, we decided to add a visit to the Nubian Village, and we are SO glad we did! It turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. Omar picked us up in his private motorboat, which was beautiful, spacious, and extremely clean. It was perfect for our family of four and honestly nicer than most of the other boats we saw on the Nile. We started our journey enjoying fresh mangoes, which the kids loved, while Omar shared interesting stories and information about the Nile, the surrounding area, and Nubian culture. Our first stop was the beautiful Nubian Village, where we had time to walk around, explore, and enjoy some tea. The kids even got to hold a crocodile, which was definitely one of their highlights! We also visited a wonderful spice shop and brought home some delicious spices. Another highlight for the kids was getting to swim in the Nile! We could have joined them, but unfortunately hadn’t brought our swimsuits. After visiting the village, we transferred to a traditional felucca sailboat operated by Omar’s brother. His boat was equally beautiful and incredibly comfortable. We were able to stretch out, relax, enjoy tea, and take in the most spectacular sunset. It truly couldn’t have been more perfect! Omar’s brother was so kind, and we enjoyed chatting with him about all sorts of things while peacefully sailing along the Nile. The sunset, the atmosphere, and the company made it an unforgettable experience. Afterward, Omar picked us up again and drove us back. Throughout the day, he was incredibly kind, welcoming, and knowledgeable. As a proud Nubian, he shared so much about his culture and traditions, which we found fascinating. Our son enjoyed learning about Nubian culture so much that he was joking about wanting to become Nubian himself! Overall, this was a fantastic experience from beginning to end and truly one of the highlights of our trip to Egypt. Both boats were exceptionally nice, the entire experience felt personal and relaxed, and Omar and his brother made us feel so welcome. We would 100% recommend booking with Omar, and if you’re considering adding the Nubian Village to your sunset felucca ride, absolutely do it! You won’t regret it!

When in Aswan, you just have to go on a felucca tide. We chose the sunset felucca ride. Totally worth it and a nice evening activity before dinner. It is very peacefull and the organizer sails from a place were the Nile is wide. You sail until the sun has set and then return. Also very good communication for this trip. I booked it one day before the activity and got immediate confirmation.

There are two ways to enjoy the Felcuca ride—enjoy the peace and quiet on the river or ask the Captain many questions! We partook in both. Captain Safi was so kind and informative. The Nile was very serene the night we went. My husband asked as we walked away: “Should we get a sailboat?”

We had a great experience on this felucca ride in Aswan. The owner was really friendly, welcoming, and made us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived. The boat was really nice, clean, and comfortable, making it the perfect way to enjoy the Nile at sunset. The views were beautiful, and the whole experience was relaxing and enjoyable. We would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Aswan. 10/10.

The felucca ride was great, and I would definitely recommend! Omar was very communicative via WhatsApp since the moment we booked the tour with him, and he provided very clear information and instructions. On the day of the tour, he picked us at the hotel on time, and he drove us to the dock where we met the boat Captain and his assistant. The felucca ride lasted 1.5 hours, and it was wonderful. They ride along the Nile river around the main island, and we were able to sightsee and enjoy a beautiful sunset. They also served us some tea (free of charge), and they brought us back to the dock where Omar was waiting for us to take us back to the hotel (the boat captain and Omar were in close communication via phone). No one asked us for a tip. The whole experience was great and worth it, especially for the price.
