Head toward the Sete Cidades lake and take in panoramic views from the Vista do Rei viewpoint. Enjoy lunch in Ribeira Grande, the second biggest city in São Miguel, then visit Gorreana Plantation to walk around the oldest tea fields in Europe. Move on to the striking Salto do Cabrito waterfalls and become surrounded by an inspiring natural landscape. Up next, arrive at Caldeira Velha hot springs, where a waterfall connects with a pond, providing stunning scenery for a relaxing time. End your trip with a stop at Lagoa do Fogo, the highest lagoon on the island at more than 500 meters in height. Note : If you wish to bathe in the hot springs, please message us upon booking, to reserve these. Please be ready by 8:45 a.m. for pickup. Delays may be expected, due to traffic, high number of passengers or distance from Ponta Delgada; Bookings made less than 48 hours prior to the start of the tour may not be able to take the tour in German, French, or Spanish. We had a great time with our tour guide Miguel. Azorean Tales accommodated us as our ship was late into ponta Delgada and adjusted their schedule accordingly. We were still able to see all the sights. thanks Carlos !!

The weather didn't cooperate well but had a great tour with Roy.. Took us to many places not on the list of regular tour. Able to sample local specialties Had a great time, would recommend highly
Andre was an excellent, informative guide. Excellent English. We were fortunate to have a ‘private’ tour as there was only the two of us. As a result, the tour was not rushed and we could tailor the timetable to suit ourselves. The fish restaurant where we stopped for lunch was fantastic - one of the best dishes I have eaten. Lovely places to visit on the tour. Good communication from the company from the time of booking to pick up - which was on time! The description could be a little bit misleading in terms of ‘‘Taste Azores’ as the actual only freebie was the tea and licor. Otherwise rate the experience highly.
