Best excursion of my two weeks in Hawaii!

Our pilot Brett was great. He made sure we both had views on either side of the helicopter and it was a relaxing adventure. There is so much you can’t access by land. Wouldn’t miss this opportunity! Insanely beautiful place.

Absolutely incredible experience. Our pilot Taylor was super calm, friendly and confident. They were even willing to accommodate scheduling a new time when we thought weather would be an issue. Turned out to be fine, but we were thankful they were proactive with making sure we got this incredible experience. It was by far the highlight of my trip to Kauai.

This was our first helicopter tour and it was amazing. Tyler was our pilot and he was so great. He took us through mountain ranges which gave us a view of the beauty of the island. After this tour I felt we were able to see all the highlights. It was an easy check as well! I would highly recommend it to anyone!

This was truly an unforgettable experience! The receptionist was friendly, and we appreciated the safety video before the flight. The views were absolutely jaw-dropping and left us speechless. Flying in an open-door Robinson R44 Raven II made the experience feel much more immersive and allowed for amazing, glare-free photos. What really sets this tour apart is that the smaller helicopter can fly deep into the hidden corners of the canyon and get much closer than the larger helicopters. If you're looking for a unique and breathtaking way to experience Kauai, we highly recommend this tour.

We took the door-off helicopter tour with Ali’i Air last week, and it was an unforgettable experience. My husband and I had visited Kauai before and always regretted not doing a helicopter tour, so this time—especially traveling with our son, who loves helicopters—we made sure not to miss it. From start to finish, our experience with Ali’i Air was seamless. The pre-trip communication was excellent—they were responsive, helpful, and made everything easy to plan. On the day of the tour, everything ran smoothly. Our pilot, Clay, was fantastic—highly experienced, with smooth piloting and insightful, engaging commentary throughout the flight. We learned so much about the island while taking in the incredible views. May at the front desk was also wonderful—friendly, fun, and thorough with the safety briefing, which made us feel completely comfortable. Although the weather was a bit cloudy with some light rain, it turned out to be a blessing in disguise—we were lucky enough to see double rainbows, which made the experience even more magical. Overall, it was a truly memorable experience and a highlight of our trip. We would absolutely recommend Ali’i Air to anyone visiting Kauai.

The tour itself was great. Everybody that we interacted with was professional and courteous and we had a wonderful time. The description "free video" is kind of misleading, it's just a promotional video of the island and you don't receive it until AFTER you leave a review of your experience after the fact. The operators made it sound like that's an issue with the platform promoting it that way but I don't really believe that. Long and short of it, would I do this tour again? ABSOLUTELY. But if you're booking it because it makes it sound like you're gonna get a video of your tour, you'll be disappointed.

If you are coming to Kauai, you cannot leave without flying over these cliffs/ valleys/ canyons of this island. We went on the "doors off" helicopter and it was wonderful! Sam was great with legends stories and history of the area. Well worth it!

I booked the private doors-off helicopter tour for me and my wife and this was hands-down the best activity we did in Kauai! The views were extraordinary and the experience was unreal! Upon arrival, we were greeted at the front desk, completed a safety briefing and started the flight. Our pilot, Taylor was super nice and made sure we had a memorable time. This is a must-do activity in Kauai and the best way to take in all the breathtaking views of the island. Huge thanks to the Ali'l Air team!
