Metáfora - A Árvore de Utah, às vezes chamada de Árvore da Vida, é uma escultura de 25 metros de altura criada pelo artista sueco Karl Momen na década de 1980 e inaugurada em 1986. A escultura, construída principalmente em concreto, consiste de um 'tronco' quadrado segurando seis esferas revestidas com rochas naturais e minerais nativos de Utah. Existem também vários segmentos de esfera oca no solo ao redor da base. A escultura atualmente possui uma cerca circundando a base para proteger as pessoas da queda de ladrilhos. Inscritas na placa estão as palavras de Ode à Alegria de Friedrich Schiller; também usado como refrão da Nona Sinfonia de Beethoven. Foi dito que Momen foi levado a criar a árvore de 87 pés de altura (27 m) depois de ter a visão de uma árvore enquanto dirigia pelas desoladas Salinas de Bonneville. Após a dedicação desta obra de arte, Momen doou a escultura ao estado de Utah e voltou para a Suécia.
Os viajantes serão buscados no local especificado em Salt Lake City e levados até Bonneville Salt Flats, perto da fronteira com Nevada. No caminho faremos uma parada na escultura da Árvore da Vida, onde os viajantes poderão optar por tirar fotos se desejarem. Ao sair da escultura, iremos até as Salinas, onde os viajantes poderão passar o tempo tirando fotos, caminhando pelas salinas, etc. A viagem de ida e volta é de cerca de 160 quilômetros e levará cerca de 1,5 horas em cada sentido.

About an hour and half drive from Salt Lake City. Very cool experience. Salt flats are expansive and our tour guide did a really good job taking photos of us and explaining things on the way.

We had a fantastic adventure at the Salt Flats and at Park City yesterday! Shawn was very knowledgeable and shared so much information with us throughout the day. He also took so many wonderful pictures of our family during the entire trip. He was great with my 8 year old and kept him entertained on the very long drives between stops. 저 혼자 여행이었는데 Shawn이 정말 잘 가이드해줬습니다. 호텔 픽업드랍 완벽하고, 제가 번호 알려줘서 문자로 연락했는데 답장도 빨랐어요. 제 예약에 문제가 있었는데 잘 해결해줬고, salt flat 워킹존, 드라이빙존 모두 데려다줬습니다. 제가 있고싶은 시간 만큼, 사진 찍고싶은 만큼 전부 마음대로 하게 해줬고 드라이빙존에서는 테슬라로 190키로까지 찍어줬어요ㅋㅋ 저도 밴드를 하고, Shawn은 밴드로 음악까지 냈더라구요. 왕복 3시간 정도 거리인데 밴드 음악 많이 알려주고 본인 밴드 노래도 들려줬습니다ㅎㅎ 영어 그렇게 잘하는 편 아니지만 대화 무리없이 했고 알아듣기 쉽게 말해줘요! 이전에 거의 영어 못하는 사람이 왔을 땐 핸드폰 통역 썼다고 하니 크게 걱정 안하셔도 될 것 같습니다ㅎㅎ 한국어 후기가 없어서 좀 걱정했었는데 다른 분은 그러지 않으시길 바라며 후기 남겨요:) 식당 추천, 가까이 들를곳 추천 전부 받았는데 만족했습니다!
