Explore as assustadoras catacumbas de Kom ash-Shuqqafa; conheça o medieval Forte Qaitbey onde ficava o lendário Farol de Alexandria; e maravilhe-se com a nova Biblioteca de Alexandria, uma maravilha arquitetônica em forma de disco que homenageia a antiga biblioteca. Alexandria é uma das cidades históricas mais impressionantes do mundo, e certamente imperdível no Egito, então se você está pensando em fazer esse passeio de um dia a partir do Cairo ... o que você está esperando ?! Levaremos cerca de três horas de carro do Cairo antes que nossa excursão de um dia a Alexandria comece realmente, e onde é melhor começar do que as catacumbas de Kom Ash-Suqqafa. Um dos maiores cemitérios romanos do mundo, as Catacumbas são uma das atrações mais populares de Alexandria. Observe sua cabeça enquanto desce para uma rede de passagens subterrâneas, tumbas e antecâmaras através de uma escada de aspiração sobre um labirinto de três níveis (muito legal, não é ?!). Dezenas de câmaras com pilares e estátuas esculpidas aguardam sua curiosidade, bem como uma grande sala de banquetes em estilo romano, onde parentes dos falecidos tradicionalmente hospedavam refeições comemorativas. Nossa próxima parada é o Museu Nacional, lar das ruínas da obra-prima da era grega e romana, descobertas sob a água nas margens de Alexandria. Coisas antigas super impressionantes aqui! Desfrutaremos de um almoço local egípcio, Alexandria é famosa por seus frutos do mar frescos (vegetarianos e outras dietas serão acomodados). Após o almoço, seguiremos para o antigo local do Farol de Alexandria, uma das sete maravilhas do mundo. Embora o farol não esteja mais em pé, no topo de suas ruínas fica a Cidadela de Qaitbay, uma fortaleza defensiva construída no século XV. Concebida como uma defesa ao longo da costa do Mediterrâneo, a Cidadela oferece vistas amplas, ar fresco do Mediterrâneo e um supremo senso de significado histórico. Nossa parada final na excursão de um dia em Alexandria será a Biblioteca de Alexandria. Hora do nerd! Inspirada na grande biblioteca original de Alexandria, a moderna biblioteca foi construída para abrigar mais de oito milhões de livros. Construído entre 1995 e 2002, abrange 11 níveis em cascata e, embora ainda não tenha atingido sua capacidade, é uma homenagem impressionante ao antigo esplendor de Alexandria. Our guide Wael and driver Bashandi were both excellent. The day that we’d selected was very foggy in the morning and we were advised that the road could be closed until it cleared and given the option to delay. We elected to continue and were amazed at the good spirits of everyone stuck in the traffic (so unlike the UK!). The journey there didn’t feel as long as it was. Our guide ensured that we still got to see all of the sites on the itinerary and we didn’t feel rushed to miss things due to the traffic delays. Whilst the trip was an excellent day we could have done without the regular WhatsApp messages every couple of days afterwards reminding us to leave a review.
Amazing experience and the guide, Mariam was extremely knowledgeable. Lunch meal and the view was amazing. I was able to swim in the Mediterranean Sea as well…bucket list ✔️. Highly recommend!
I would like to extend my compliments to Mohamed, our tour guide, and Amro, our driver, for the days tour. I can't thank them enough for their professionalism and nurturing care towards my brother & I. This is our first time in Egypt from Australia and I am in awe towards Mohameds knowledge and passion towards tourism and the Egyptian history. We received an exquisite and a beautifully unique experience from Mohamed in the last 2 days. A tour guide can definitely make or break your experience and Mohamed made our experience a delightful one. Our comfort and experience was his priority and we were heart warmed by his genuine efforts. I have seen many people from all walks of life in my travel experiences to Bali, Australia, France, America, Mexico, Lebanon, Syria and UAE, together with my profession as a Fraud and Intelligence investigator, and when I come across a genuine person like Mohamed who genuinly loves their job and treats foreigners with kindness, respect and care, they truly deserve a spotlight. I have never received such care for his customers & tourism from any tour guide like Mohamed. Tourism is not just a job for Mohamed, it is a passion and we witnessed his divine knowledge and expertise. The tour was incredible!! We highly recommend using urban adventures. Mohammad is a great asset. Having Mohamed as your guide makes the experience. We LOVE Egypt 🇪🇬 and we can't wait to come back!
We did the private tour of Alexandra. Our tour guide Mina was fantastic! Mina has a wealth of knowledge that he passes on with ease. It also helps that he is super friendly. The sites visited on the tour highlight the old and the modern Egypt. The time in traveling from Cairo is well spent. Highly recommend!
We enjoyed very much our Alexandria Day tour! Our guide Miss Marwa was very knowledgeable, kind, smiley and funny and a very nice company to have for the whole day! We were taken to all the places as promised (despite the crazy traffic!) and had a lovely lunch on a restaurant just on the sea front on the Alexandria Cornish. The van was comfortable and the driver polite. We most certainly recommend this to anyone! We will be using this company again next time we are in Egypt.
Great tour with Noha. She was well versed in Egyptian history and her English was excellent. We enjoyed all the activities including lunch.
Alexandria wasn't on the itinerary for my main Egypt tour, so I went on the Urban Adventure with Mohammed a day later. I ended up being the only person on the tour. Mohammed was both knowledgeable and professional, and was friendly enough that at times it felt more like having a friend show me around rather than a booked programme. Mohammed made sure all of my objectives were met, and the city itself exceeded my expectations. I thoroughly recommend going on this tour, and having nothing but praise for Mohammed.

Our guide Loay ahmed, has very good knowledge on the places we visited, very helpful with being able to show us around the places as well as allowing plenty of time to have a look around each place, like the catacombs ourselves and able to take photos once everything about the area was explained.
I was the only person on this tour which was very much in my favour. Loay Ahmed was my guide for the day. He was full of knowledge and information which helped pass the 2 hour drive to Alexandria. Loay made sure I had express entry into all the sights, negotiating the entry lines with efficiency. He balanced guiding and free time well. It is a big day but a day trip is all you need in Alexandria. I highly recommend Urban Adventures and Loay.
