My girlfriend and I booked a private tour of the colosseum and ancient city, including Roman forum. We were lucky enough to have Valentina for our tour and she was absolutely fantastic! She gave us a wonderful private tour of the Roman Colosseum and the ancient sites of Rome. We took the morning tour and were able to walk right in. Valentina was incredibly knowledgeable about the history and brought everything to life with fascinating stories, background, and details that we would have missed on our own. We also had great conversations about Rome, Italy, and USA it was like talking to a long-time friend! She also gave us a great recommendations list for Rome. We learned so much and really enjoyed the overall experience, which lasted about 3 hours. We highly recommend this tour and Valentina to anyone looking for an excellent guide in Rome!
Great tour! The tour guide was fluent in english, and he was very knowledgeable about the history of the area. He had visual aids for recreations of ruins on his ipad, and he was extremely kind! The tour group was the perfect size. He took our picture whenever asked, and we skipped the line everywhere we went.
Luka was amazing- we learned so much and had a really lovely time on the first day of our tour. He was friendly, funny, and offered many helpful tips for the rest of the trip. Unforgettable experience!

Our private tour of the Colosseum and Ancient City exceeded all of our expectations. The meeting point and check-in process were simple and well organized, and the entire experience was outstanding. Our guide, Vera, was fantastic. She was incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and made the history come alive. She pointed out countless details that we would have completely missed had we explored on our own, and her explanations added so much context to everything we saw. One of the highlights was that she tailored the Ancient City portion of the tour to focus on the areas that interested us most. That personal touch made the experience feel truly special. If you’re considering a private tour of the Colosseum and Roman Forum, we couldn’t recommend this one more highly—especially if you’re lucky enough to have Vera as your guide.

Our family (my wife, our two kids, and I) had an incredible experience on LivTours’ Colosseum and Roman Forum tour, and a huge part of that was our guide, Dario. Dario struck the perfect balance between being incredibly knowledgeable and making the history come alive. He shared fascinating details about ancient Rome, but what really set him apart was how well he connected with our children. Keeping kids engaged while touring historical sites isn’t easy, yet Dario made them feel like active participants rather than just spectators. He asked them questions, involved them in the stories, and kept their attention throughout the tour. My wife and I learned a tremendous amount, but it was seeing our kids genuinely excited about Roman history that made this experience so memorable. Dario’s enthusiasm, storytelling, and ability to tailor the tour to both adults and children made this one of the highlights of our trip to Rome. If you’re visiting the Colosseum and Roman Forum—especially as a family—I can’t recommend LivTours and Dario highly enough. We would absolutely book another tour with him in the future and are very much hoping he will lead our next tour on Monday.
Simply the best tour I’ve ever been on and the most knowledgeable, personable, and wonderful tour guide I’ve ever met. If you can somehow get Caterina as a guide you will be in for a treat.
