They stopped at the Capponi winery was fabulous. The host was gracious gave us a great tour of the facility and a wonderful understanding of their wines. She then had us taste six different wines and provided some like snacks to go along. A fabulous opening act. I wish I could say the same about the second. Prior to going I asked if the experience was suitable for my wife who uses a walker. I was assured it was. Upon getting there the hostesses who were quite gracious asked if we wanted to skip the tour because of her disability and go directly to eating lunch. We indicated you know we wanted to do the tour and was told that it was suitable. It was anything but suitable. My wife was required to go up and down severe uneven steps to really see not much of anything. We saw no wine making processes. We were ushered into a room where we were served a decent lunch and that ended the experience. In summary, I would strongly recommend going to the Capponi winery, but not the second. In all, this this was not worth the cost.
We had the best time with Massimo showing us the Tuscany countryside and wineries. He was waiting for us with our name on his placard at the ship at the appointed time - so easy to meet up. His van was roomy, clean, and comfortable for the 4 of us. The two wineries he took us to were wonderful - we learned a lot about making and tasting wine.
Wonderful day in Beautiful Tuscany! Our driver/guide, Matea, was awesome! Staff at the wineries were gracious and informative.
<p>Michel was great! He was part driver/part guide. Very personable and friendly and knowledgeable. He took us all through the beautiful Tuscany region. We had two different kind of tours/experiences to two different vineyards. A really great day!</p>
<p>This was one of the best tours of our 30-day trip. We had a private tour at our second winery and were served an excellent antipasti lunch. Our second host was great! Our driver was the best and treated us to a great tour of the Italian countryside. He took different routes going and coming. It was well worth the cost. I am a firm believer in private tours.</p>
