Bem conhecido pela canção “Bom Rei Venceslau”, ele era um duque da Boêmia e o santo padroeiro dos tchecos. Embora tenha morrido jovem e pelas mãos de seu irmão, ele é o ícone da República Tcheca. Além disso, os moradores usam isso como ponto de encontro. “Nós nos encontraremos sob a cauda” é uma frase comum. Depois de nos encontrarmos, partimos para nossos pubs favoritos, assim como você fará em nosso passeio.
Construído em 1818, hoje abriga cerca de 14 milhões de itens dedicados às ciências naturais e coleções históricas. Quando os soviéticos invadiram Praga em 1968, pensaram que era uma sede do governo e atiraram contra ela. Os tchecos deixaram esses buracos de bala no prédio para mostrar o que eles tiveram que superar. Depois de extensas reformas nos últimos anos, agora está reaberto.
Em 1300, o Sacro Imperador Romano Carlos II dobrou o tamanho da cidade, adicionando a área conhecida como Cidade Nova. Esta área abriga muitas das salas de concerto, galerias de arte e teatros. Os tchecos amam a arte e isso se mostra com o número de teatros e locais em toda a cidade. Enquanto a Cidade Velha contém grande parte de sua arquitetura gótica original, a Cidade Nova contém alguns, mas também tem muitos estilos mais modernos.

Uma estrutura moderna terminada em 1932. Esta igreja incomum foi projetada pelo mesmo homem que redesenhou o castelo no início de 1900. Esta igreja em forma de arca possui o maior mostrador de relógio do país. O homem que projetou esta igreja também trabalhou no Castelo de Praga no início de 1900. Considerado um dos edifícios mais feios do mundo, esta estrutura foi iniciada pelos comunistas no final dos anos 1980. Hoje é um marco com uma instilação de arte bastante incomum. Há 10 estátuas de bebês presas ao lado do prédio, fazendo com que pareçam estar subindo no prédio. Estas são uma das estranhas obras de arte do artista local, David Cerny. Este monumento também significa que estamos a poucos passos de um estabelecimento popular de comida e cerveja com uma seleção de cervejas feitas apenas com eles.
Um dos locais interessantes em Praga é este marco cultural. Este edifício abrigava bombas de vapor que trazem água do subsolo. Foi aposentado na década de 1960 e convertido em apartamentos de alto padrão. Sua plataforma superior tem 40 metros de altura, proporcionando uma excelente vista da cidade.
As vinhas reais já estiveram nesta área. Você pode até notar a palavra "vino" no nome da área. Hoje esta é uma área vibrante com muitos restaurantes, bares e padarias. Praga tem cerca de 20% de espaço verde. Culturalmente, os tchecos adoram sair e curtir os parques com os amigos. Este parque é lotado quase todas as noites de verão, enquanto as pessoas observam o pôr do sol sobre o horizonte de Praga. Outra tradição checa são os jardins de cerveja. - O conforto é fundamental em nossos passeios, por isso recomendamos usar sapatos que aguentem os famosos paralelepípedos de Praga e vestir-se de acordo com o clima.

The beer and tapas tour was great! Nikola took us by foot, metro, and tram to try local breweries and specialty small bites. Along the way we learned some of the history of Prague and how the breweries came to be. She also sent us other suggestions for restaurants and breweries to try. Definitely a fun experience and Nikola was a fun and entertaining guide!

4+ hours off fun on the Tapas Tour with our guide Guillaume Vergne (Will).He was fabulous and took us to local places that he favored that were not the typical tourist spots. We had a delightful experience We traveled by public transportation to several different areas to try and experience an array of different beers and tapas with a very experienced and knowledgeable guide..we enjoyed venturing out past the regular touristy areas..would do again ..our guide even helped me retrieve a mini tripod i had lost the evening before from a local establishment..thanks again 😁

My wife and I booked this tour through a travel agent as we love to get a sense of a new city's food and culture by first going on a food/beer/wine tour. This was was a great way to get to know a bit of the culture and history of Prague. Our guide was easy to find, spoke great english, and was able to pivot in light of an unforeseen power failure. We saw a different area of Prague that we likely would have never ventured to without this. We got a great mix of beers and food. Go hungry!

We had a great experience on a tour with Vojta! We went to three unique locations and enjoyed seeing some of the area we had not experienced yet (a bit off the beaten path which we love). We experienced beer and tapas at each location. Vojta is very knowledgable about beer and the area too! After being on several tours with history and architecture, it was nice to chill and enjoy an evening of beers and tapas! We had thought we were going to take a tour in Pilsner, but decided on this due to timing and it worked out great! He was prompt and friendly and we really enjoyed the tour! Book it!

We had the best time with Will. Not only is he very knowledgeable, but he is a lot of fun. He took us to different places we would've never found on our own. He educated us on the city and the various beers. We had some delicious food as well. I am not a huge beer drinker and still absolutely loved this tour. I was with my adult children, and they truly enjoyed it as well.

Great guide who told us not only about beer, but other things about Prague. He was fun to hang out with. It was just our family and the guide. We probably could have found a lot of bars without the guide, but this made it more fun. He also recommended some food and other things to do.
