Our guide, Tony McC, provided many facts about the Beatles' lives in a fun and entertaining manner. Tony managed to arrive at the various sites before the larger groups arrived, giving us an opportunity to take many photos without having to jostle through crowds. We enjoyed a few laughs along the way, making it a wonderful and memorable experience.
Tony was great. Very knowledgeable. Patiently answered my questions. Really a perfect day for a Beatles fan.
Josh warmly greeted us and made it clear that this was our tour and we could decide what we wished to see. We of course left it to him. He was very well informed having grown up in Penny Lane. He was accommodating, knowledgeable and gracious. We loved our tour and our tour guide. Highly recommended.
Nothing, just bring a love of all things Beatles. We learnt a lot more than we knew about the fab four. Peter was a great guide.
This was an excellent way to see the sights of Liverpool through the eyes of the Beatles. Our driver Robert was outstanding tailoring his stories to what was of interest to us. The private, small group aspect of this tour was a perfect way to go!
We absolutely LOVED our Beatles tour with Keith!!! He was super knowledgable, fun and kind. He shared so many amazing facts about both the Beatles AND Liverpool, which was awesome as this was our first time in the city! We had a blast with him and it was definitely a highlight of our trip to the UK. Book this tour and ask for KEITH!! Thanks Keith :)
We were traveling with 80 year old parents on a cruise and chose this tour for a more personal experience. Our guide and driver Tony didn't disappoint. He was full of Beatles knowledge and fun facts that he shared with us as we stopped at all the important Beatles stops. Tony was great about moving at a speed my parents could maintain. We learned so much about the Beatles, saw alot of fun stops, and listened to some classic Beatles while we were driving. Highly recommend this tour for something fun to do in Liverpool.
Our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable about the history of The Beatles. He shared many photographs from a notebook he brought along and we learned things we hadn't previously known about the group. He also played a lot of their music on the radio which we enjoyed. It was a beautiful day and a nice ride around Liverpool. Having said that, I do have some concerns. There were three of us: my husband, a college friend, and me. We're all about 15 years younger than The Beatles but old enough to remember seeing them on The Ed Sullivan Show and buying their albums. The cab we rode in was not comfortable for the three of us. No one was allowed to sit in the front beside the driver because that side of the car was filled with leftover food wrappers. That meant the three of us had to sit in the back and there was an immovable plexiglass partition between us which made it difficult, at times, to hear what the driver said while we traveled in traffic. Additionally, the back seat was only comfortable enough for two people and that meant the third person had to sit in the fold-up "jump seat" for 3+ hours. It was uncomfortable. The day was also warm and the windows were down which added to the discomfort. No A/C was offered. I hate to leave such a mixed review but there you have it. We loved seeing where all of the "Fab Four" grew up but it sure could have been a lot better in terms of car comfort. Would I recommend this to a friend? Yes, but with reservation. I highly recommend contacting the tour operator in advance if you have mobility issues, hearing issues, or sensitivity to heat as you'll be spending 3+ hours in the car.
From start to finish, trip ran smoothly. In addition to learning about The Beatles, we were able to see some of Liverpool.
Geoff was an amazing tour guide! We had an extraordinary great time and he is knowledgeable, thoughtful and so kind! We saw and learned so much, it felt like we had insight to Beatles info most people do not get to have. Highly recommended! And ask for Geoff, you will not be disappointed. I even had a dream about the church where a couple of Beatles sang and drew pictures ! It was surreal. Thanks Geoff!!
