Monumentos Comemoram a grande pista de 1836, quando os colonos estabeleceram a Colônia do Transvaal. eles encontraram algumas batalhas como a batalha do rio Blood
A casa de Paul Kruger na Rua Nkomo, nº 60, anteriormente conhecida como Church Str. casa com telhado de zinco galvanizado e varanda é um museu que contém os antigos móveis originais usados pela família Kruger. A casa fica em frente à Gereformeerde kerk, a igreja que Oom Paul e sua esposa costumavam frequentar aos domingos e ele dava uma ou duas palavras se fosse necessário, embora nunca tenha sido pregador. Na entrada logo ao lado do Varender seja recebido pelos dois leões de mármore doados pelo amigo dos Krugers, Barney Barnato.
A prefeitura, com sua condenada Torre do Relógio, foi inaugurada em 1935. o carrilhão de 32 sinos cilíndricos foi doado por Sir George Heys, o primeiro proprietário da Melrose House.
Melrose House, na rua Jacob Mare, é a casa onde ocorreu a assinatura da Paz de Vereeniging em 31 de maio de 1902 para encerrar a guerra da África do Sul. George Heys, o homem de muitos mistérios, durante a guerra a casa foi requisitada pelos britânicos como quartel-general imperial na África do Sul e foi transformada na residência de Lord Roberts, o comandante-em-chefe das forças britânicas. A sede do governo da África do Sul está localizada em Meintlies Kop e é conhecida como Union Buildings. Foi desenhado por Sir Herbert Baker na Renascença com os idiomas clássicos. Construído em 1910 e concluído em 1913.

Excellent. The guide is essential for knowing what to visit.
A great overview of Pretoria including the major sights. Our guide Ben was informative and has an indepth knowledge of the freezes inside the Voortrekker monument, which was extreamily interesting and educational. Admissions were included to the sites, and there is time to explore the Monument and Ditsong Kruger Museum.
Transport was included. The tour was very private, just us to and the driver. Therefore just by car. We visited 3 places, and the Foretracker Monument was the most interesting a d we got the most information. The other 2 places, we visited mostly alone.
Ben was very good, accommodated our wishes and was very pleasant. We felt safe all the time while visiting the center of Pretoria.

Really excellent trip around Pretoria including Vortrekker monument, Kruger house, downtown Pretoria & finishing wandering around beautiful gardens & viewing the 9m tall bronze Mandela monument . Brilliant educated guide👍

Thank you to Ben! He fetched us from our hotel and drove us on a historic to present day tour of Pretoria. We learned a lot about the area and some about South Africa in general. We had a great tour of the Voortrekker monument and farm grounds, Kruger house museum, and the Union buildings where the giant statue of Mandela is located. Funny story while at the statue: there were a lot of elementary students there that day and as I was climbing back up the steps two young girls said hello. I said hello back and one asked how old I am. I told her I am 70, and she said 'Wow! You're old!' : )) We drove by Church Square, beautiful Palace of Justice building, sadly an unsafe area. We highly recommend this tour, it was well worth our time.

Ben came to collect us at 9am sharp. He was warm, friendly and very knowledgeable. We visited the main sites of historical interest and had plenty of time to look around. Ben gave us lots of additional background information as we drove around and at the sites. The only negative was a lack of air conditioning in the car - we opened the windows.

An excellent half day tour. Ben was a great guide, knowledgeable without overload. The Vortrekker Museum was amazing and it is well worth spending the extra time there. We will always think of it at noon on 16th December!
