Our guide Nickolas was amazing and we had a great time. We learned so much about Cretan culture, Falassarna beach was stunning, the food was great and everything ran efficiently the whole day. We were lucky to have a private trip. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable. It’s a quick visit to an overlook of Balos followed by lunch and beach time on a less occupied beach. I only gave 3 stars because the drive to the overlook was terrifying as well as the drive out of town. A bit expensive for the trip. A good day besides the drive.
We can't change the terrain and we can't manage the car traffic. We can manage all the other services as we did. What is terrify for you, it's not for the 99.9% of the other people who visit Balos.To rate the tour 3/5 stars because of the traffic and the rough road to Balos it's not fair for our services. There is only one road to Balos and we describe that is a rough road of 12 miles. You have to recognize that you booked a wrong tour because of your phobias. We didn't do something wrong as you mentioned on your review. We offered the tour as we describe it.

Nasos was incredibly friendly, warm, and always willing to help us with anything we needed. Through our conversations with him, we gained a much deeper understanding of local Greek culture and learned a lot about the geography. Everything on the itinerary was perfectly arranged. We are so happy we chose this tour for our honeymoon!

This is a great day out for the family. Nikolas promptly picked us up at the hotel and took us to Balos viewpoint. He gave us so much information about Greek culture, Crete and the area. He had the day very organized and there was water in the jeep for us. He explained our itinerary so we knew exactly what to expect. We were so glad we were not driving ourselves because the road was very bumby and not paved! The goats up at the viewpoint are fun to feed and the view is absolutely spectacular! Once we got our pictures we heaed to Falassarna Beach. It was stunni g too! It is so beautful and relaxing at this beach. We were very happy to spend our time here. Lunch was also delicious! I highly recommend this tour and company. They were absolutely wonderful and so welcomimg. Thank you for a memorable day!

The description of this was a little misleading. A jeep tour in the US means something more than a SUV LandRover which is the vehicle that was used to drive us around. We went up a hill to a view spot and got to feed some goats which was fun, but there wasn’t really much to this first part of the trip. Then he drove us to a beach. When I first booked the trip it said that we would have front row loungers. The pictures from previous trips showed that but when we got there we were put in the second row under a stationary umbrella and crowded into a space that didn’t have sun. The food at lunch was good and our guide was great- Nicholas, but I really don’t understand the cost of this trip. We booked a trip from Athens to Delphi which was much longer and had entrance fees and a guide the entire time for much less. If you don’t have any other way of getting to the beach this was good, but I think you can find something less expensive.
Everything on the tour description is accurate for thousands of our guests every year, except one, you. You had 100% the services as we describe. With a 4wd vehicle (Land Rover), sunbeds and umbrellas as we describe (behind the cabanas) and we don't use the word loungers on the description. Yes it was not sun under the umbrellas as you mentioned, but for that reason the people use the umbrellas. The Viator unfortunately permits reviews like that one to be online but I don't permit you, to write that we are liars and dishonests and that the description is misleading! We are not liers, we are not dishonests and the most important we are not therapists. We are just very unclucky that you were on a tour with our company because you didn't read anything at all from the description and at the end you decided to write that under the umbrellas there was not sun and to compare prices for transfers in asphalt with tours on rough roads and lunch. We can't help you but we can help the future customers to clarify a few things about your ability what you read and what you undestand and imagine.
Had a great time with our family with 2 kids 9 and 11. We had an air conditioned SUV drive us the whole way. Demetrius, our driver, was amazing and gave us great history, culture, and Greek language lessons. The beach was beautiful with comfortable chairs with umbrellas and the place had changing rooms. The restaurant food was good and we had a large spread to try different Greek foods.

Amazing trip! First we went to see Balos from above, breathtaking view and we took wonderful pictures! On our way there, we saw a lot of cute goats and we could feed them a little bit of banana peel! Then we went to Falassarna beach to swim. The most beautiful turquoise clear water ever! Mesmerizing beach! After 3 hours, we had lunch at a beach restaurant and ate delicious traditional Greek food like lamb, moussaka and greek salad. Our guide Yannis was so friendly and kind, he gave us a lot of interesting information about Crete’s history and many other fun things like greek names and traditions! Never a dull moment in the car! Overall we loved this experience and 100% recommend to everyone!

Was a great experience! Bill/Vassili was an excellent guide and so knowledgeable. It was a fun filled day doing adventurous things. Balos beach was stunning and Falassarna beach was beautiful and relaxing. We enjoyed a nice meal as well! Would highly recommend!
