Don't book it... They will have better experience at a lower price, paying the cost of boat transportation directly by sea taxi on the pier. I explain: First of all it is not a recognized agency in the area, they are identified in trip advisor as activitours, and in whats app as: "merca tours" and "angel tours express" which for us made it SUSPICIOUS not to be sure WHO is providing the service... The tour operators never contacted me or provided timely guidance. Since the day before I was trying to communicate with them by the phone number offered by the app, to confirm the meeting time, since 8 am seemed very early for the transfer in the boats... effectively the person who answers me via whats app does not confirm or deny the schedule, only indicates that "the guide" will contact me BEFORE 8am. We stayed away from the reel so we had to leave 40min in advance to be able to arrive on time at the reel (meeting point). All morning we tried to contact the tour operator again, just read the messages without offering a response. At 8:25am after insistent calls, he responds saying that "the guide" will contact me, which long ago saying "that we arrive very early and the boats leave from 9am" but "He was on his way and would arrive after 9:10am" after 1 hour and a half waiting at the Rodadero, the "guide" contacts us at 9:30am to put some bracelets and embark on a boat, never to know more about him. Fortunately, asking on the beach we had guidance to determine where to request lunch, thanks to other tour operators identifying the bracelets. That is, the "guide" did not accompany us on the journey, on the beach, nor did he guide us where to request lunch, nor which boats we should request for return. (Once again, we managed to return safely thanks to the guidance of other boatmen) We definitely do not recommend this agency at all, unprofessional and full of excuses (which should be clarified do not match the excuses of the operator of the whats app with that of the guide and vice versa) This agency outsourced services to others on the pier. 100% NOT recommended.

I wanted to give this a poor rating only because the communication up until the day of the trip was very bad. I kept messaging the agency for direct instructions and actual address of where we should go and was left on read for 3 days - they would answer but with just a screenshot from google maps with like a pin of where we needed to be but no clear directions or address. I was getting worried that this would be a scam - luckily it wasn't. I do recommend booking this excursion as it is a great deal for what you get. However, the communication is very poor and they need to work on this. TO SAVE YOU THE TROUBLE - You need to meet at the Port in Gaira which is a small city next to Santa Marta. The Port is called "Puente Turstico El Rodadero" which is all the way at the north end of Rodadero Beach. Once you are there you cross a bridge and you will see a ton of agencies selling tickets for boat rides to different beaches. This is where you will need to be. The guide from the agency will text you around 9am to tell you he is on the way and will meet you there. The tour says it starts at 8am but that's not true - all the boats in that port won't leave until like 9:30am. I recommend getting to Gaira at 8am and getting breakfast at one of the restaurants near the beach there and then hanging out on the beach until the guide messages you. Once you receive that message it takes like 20-30 min before you meet with the guide. He will find you at the port on the other side of the bridge and give you 3 bracelets and a white ticket. 2 bracelets are for your transportation back and forth and the other one is for for lunch at the restaurant on Playa Blanca. The food is SO good and well worth it as they give you soup, fish, chicken or Beef, salad, rice and beans and a juice. We got food around 1pm and took our Lancha back around 2:30pm. The last boat back to Gaira is at 3:30pm so do not miss this. The white ticket, keep very safe because this also guarantees your ride back - DO NOT LOSE. You can rent a shaded area with 4 chairs on the beach for 60,000 COP. I highly suggest doing this as its pretty cheap and it gets SUPER hot so having the shade is nice especially because there are no trees at this beach for shade. Cocktails are around 35,000 COP a drink and beers are like 9,000 COP. I would also suggest buying water and beers from the people selling at the port before you leave. They sell everything WAY cheaper and you can even rent a Ara bag with ice that keeps all your beverages cold! - we did another excursion and did this tip and I think we got like 2 waters and a pack of Poker with the bag and ice for only 27,000 COP! The beach is awesome, super clear waters and sand that has big grains so its perfect for exfoliating your skin! OH and one more thing - when you leave from the port to Playa Blanca the Lancha will stop at 1 other beach before Playa Blanca. The captain steering the Lancha won't make this super clear so do not get off until the second stop! I hope this helps! Me and my partner had an awesome time but the agency just needs to work on their communication skills!

I never got to go on my trip because i never received the info of the meet place & time. I called and texted my tour guide various times but no one got back to me. I was very disapointed.😭😱

Enjoyed the beach very much once we arrived. However, the tour operator at the dock was extremely disorganized. We were supposed to board the boat at 9 am and did not do so until 10:30 am. It was complete chaos. Getting on the boat at the beach when we wanted to come back proved very chaotic also. The tour company did not seem to have its act together.

We went on holiday to Santa Marta and visited white beach all very nice, beautiful beaches, had a great time in this holiday I recommend this company payment is very safe

We were with family and the experience was very enjoyable a fully recommended destination, there are variety of restaurants and several places to visit
