Praga Astronomical Clock Tower Bilhete + 20min Intro & opt. E-Guia

Be warned this did not include lift tickets. Interesting view from the tower but astronomical clock display was disappointing , all you see is a picture on a screen.

Got an overview of how the magnificant clock works. Fantastic views from the top. Highly recommend. Perfect amount of time.

Kate was our very educated and articulate guide. She gave us a literary, political and religious history of some of the major buildings in the square. She made sure to time the tour so that we ended up in front of the astrological clock 90 seconds before it rang the hour. And she completed the tour with a very thorough description of every symbolic meaning on the face of the clock.

Tour guide was very knowledgeable and gave great background information regarding the clock tower. We took the stairs as opposed to the lift up and down the clock tower as it was very manageable. Great views from the top. Well worth to do this experience if you have time in Prague.

This was a great experience as it gave us a level of detail and history we would not have otherwise had.

Excellent short introductory tour of the Astronomical clock and surrounding square. Christina was excellent. We really enjoyed her explanations coupled with quirky humour and the extra knowledge about the writings of Franz Kafka. Only negative it was not clear to me that the meeting point was not at the clock. Fun to then go up the clock tower and observe the square below.

Met the guide, walked to the clock she explained a little bit. We watched the clock do its thing and that was the end of the tour.

Great views over the city and worthwhile experience. No more than 20 mins required. Easy access via lift then a few floors by ramp. Spiral staircase could be tricky for anyone with mobility issues but there is another lift on request so still possible to get out to viewing platform. We had assumed we were meeting an actual guide as instructions stated we would be met by one outside main doors with a blue & white umbrella. Waited 30 mins, went into main building and were told we had to go to a completely different office a few streets away to redeem voucher and get our actual entry tickets. So we missed our 3pm slot which was rearranged. Had to msg Tour operators to get a google maps link to find the office. Tiny & easy to miss. This all spoilt the experience a bit. We had also assumed the eguide was for the clock tower tour. Actually a short city tour which we had no use for, though others might.

The tour was good and gave a good overall into to the clock.
