Our guide was Extremely Knowledgeable. Very local knowledge and attention to detail of the buildings, art, time periods and lttle known street facts. As a rule, I don't give 5 stars but if I could do 4.5 he would have well earned it. He guided us through a crazy amount of construction (not his fault) and kept a steady pace.
As a Portovian, I was able to discover my city through new perspectives, studying its history throughout the visit. Nuno is a very knowledgeable and informed Cover.
We got spoiled on this tour for sure! We had Nuno all to ourselves and it seemed that as he learned more about us and things/info we found interesting, he would continuously curate the tour to include more of those moments. We spent 3 hours walking Porto with him and left feeling like we saw the city differently and noticed little things like street art and understanding more of its history and murals in the artwork, etc. Even when the tour was over, he left us with a mapped out plan for future routes and spots to cover. We feel like we are now so much more informed by Nuno regarding Porto’s history, art, tiles, religious background, and future. Thank you so much!
We had an amazing walking tour with Nuno. He is super knowledgeable about history, art, architecture, food, and everything about Portugal. Highly recommend his tours!
Thanks Zacharyn. My pleasure
Very good intro to Porto and its history. Nuno was really informative, especially about art, architecture, and tiles. Our time passed really quickly because of his stories and personality. His depth and breadth of knowledge was amazing. Would highly recommend to others.
Our guide was very knowledgeable about Porto and Portuguese history. She answered our questions very thoroughly which we appreciated . So also bought us the most Portuguese tarts we have ever tasted!
Nuno is one of the best guides we used to have, we travel every year in multiple cities and everywhere we take a guided. He combines knowledge of history, architecture, and city with fun, city tales, and intelligent conversation and charisma. He always helpfully with advises before and after tour and full of ideas for presents and purchases you need to make.
Nuno, an ex-architect, was fantastic even before the walk - answering all my queries with such alacrity and in such a helpful manner. This was why I chose this particular walk (the Highlights of Porto) over alternative companies offering similar walking tours. On the day, we found him to be both friendly and professional - and extremely knowledgeable. (For example, he had studied tiles for 12 years!). He gave my husband and I an excellent walk around Porto with all the main sights included whilst also surprising us with some places previously unknown to us. If you are looking for a Porto walking tour, you honestly need look no further. You will be delighted you chose Nuno!
Thanks Sally, it was a pleasure.
I had a three-hour walking highlights tour led by Susana. We covered the oldest quarters of Porto and I learned a lot about the history, culture and customs of a city that dates back more than 3,000 years. She's pleasant, fun and very knowledgable. She also provided recommendations for activities and restaurants for the rest of my visit. I was traveling solo and although the reservation form mentions booking no fewer than two people, don't dismiss this opportunity if you're by yourself. Be My Guest can probably work with you to meet your goals.
This was a great walking tour of Porto. Our group was small, which allowed for lots of questions. Our tour guide was great and very knowledgeable of the history of Porto as well as Portagal in general. I would highly recommend.
