Got placed on the wrong tour.
We booked the Portage Glacier Cruise and Wildlife Explorer with van transport thru Tripadvisor. The day before, the tour operators (Ben) texted us to say we were the only 2 on the noon tour so they had moved our time back to 1100, so we were told to go to 509 W 6th Ave at 1040, so we did. We checked in with Brooks and told him about our notification. He saw our tickets and said ok so we went with his group. It ended up being a drive by two glaciers and Alaska’s conservation center, but no Porter Glacier cruise. We requested our money back for the cruise portion at least if not the whole tour. Ben refunded $47.30 to our trip advisor account as a credit and we want a refund to our original payment please. The BR #1442623747, and was for 2 adults. A must see!!!
This is really worth the $$$. Just short drive, really up-close with the glacier ! Enough time not to give bored. Magnificent! We did the classic train adventure ride the last time we came and missed this! We could just get this Portage cruise instead. Thisbis really beautiful! The staff are nice and knowledgeable!!! A must see tour!

Great day trip from Anchorage!
This was a great getaway tour from Anchorage! It's a beautiful drive up Turnagain Arm to the glacier. The Ptarmigan Cruise gets you close to the glacier. The Captain and crew were very knowledgeable. It's absolutely beautiful, I would highly recommend this tour

Great morning tour to Portage Glacier
An hour drive to the glacier. The guides on board the board were informative and entertaining! Pickup was convenient and on time. Beautiful morning and driver made quick stop at Willawaw Creek to see all the salmon in the river.

Observe the glacier.
We took the Portage Glacier Express with van transfer from Anchorage. Thursday, August 27, 2026. At 9:00 am. With a total value of €216.64. For 2 people. The experience of seeing the glacier up close was BEAUTIFUL. On the boat, they explained and informed us about the glacier. There was kindness, willingness, and excellent treatment. Our complaint is about the person who transported us in the van, to and from Anchorage. I cannot say his name, as the gentleman did not introduce himself. He did not say a single word. He was serious, irritated, and bad-tempered. All of us in the van were quiet, scared, and intimidated; we didn't dare do anything but breathe. We were supposed to be given explanations, information, and stories… NO. Not a single word. Thank goodness, the glacier left us amazed.

Beautiful Glacier
The transfer was smooth, but the driver was a bit rude. Did not introduce self or give any information about transfer. The boat tour was excellent. the gala jet was beautiful, staff friendly and helpful.

We rode the van to a boat to Portage Glacier. It was amazing! The narration was excellent, and the views were breathtaking! Highly recommend!
