The audio provided is not as up to date as other providers. The collection point was a long way from the skip the line entrance and because no headset is provided you cannot hear the audio. Poor service from this provider.
Numbers on the map were not indicated on the site at all, making it very difficult to find our way. Museum found by chance! Audio guide in hand was not practical at all. We would have brought our headphones if we had known. Disappointing.
Pompeii itself was amazing but I would never do tickets with this group again. You have to go past the entrance and up the hill to a poorly identified location to she your e mailed “ticket” in order to get a paper voucher. The people on the office had absolutely no customer service skills. Then you have to go back down the hill to the entrance, but the paper voucher does not get you into the park. You have to go wait in line and the ticket counter and turn that voucher in for ten actual ticket. People that arrived on the same bus as me and didn’t have a a pre purchased ticket were in the park before I was. Pre-purchasing with this group did not save me money and costed me time, all with poor customer service. Definitely not worth it!
The location to get the audio tour device was not clearly indicated. The app directed me to the entrance of Pompeii, where they directed me to return to the train station and go to the first floor. My ID was kept in exchange for the audio device, but I needed my ID to enter Pompeii. You may want to inform your patrons to take a photo of their ID if they don’t have a second form of ID to enter Pompeii. The audio tour was very confusing. The numbers and locations did not always match up. Some entrance points to some houses had changed from when the audio tour was created. As Pompeii closes at 7:30, perhaps indicate to patrons in advance that their audio devices must be returned by 6:45. I had planned on touring the grounds until closing at 19:30, as I didn’t arrive until 16:00. I was then rushed to complete my tour and did not have time to see all that I wanted to see. A suggestion on what route to take through the grounds would be helpful to maximize the tourists time and cut back time spent trying to find the proper audio for the location. I found that my ‘location’ on the device map didn’t necessarily correspond to my actual location.
We did a tour with Mia, great guide, spontaneous, competent stimulant .. Absolutely to recommend!
Our guide, Laura, was informative as well as cordial. She made the entire experience interesting. The group of approximately 12 persons was just the right size. I would definitely recommend.
Even though the day was rainy this tour was awesome Our tour guide was excellent and provided humor along with his extensive knowledge
When we got the voucher from the agent the officials on the door refused us entry - telling us to go back and swap the voucher for tickets - saying it’s not difficult. Back we went and the agency employee took us passed them - they said nothing-and to the front. Only one cafe opened inside and ladies toilets had no water so no flush or ability to wash hands.. pretty grim
The ruins of Pompey are very impressive and definitely worth a visit. I would buy the tickets directly on site and not through the online site of this company. It is not an official sales site!! Skip the Line was the opposite for us, we first had to look for the small office where we could pick up Vouchers and the audio guides for which you have to deposit the pass! Then we had to walk with the Vouchers again 500 m back to the main entrance and queue there again to exchange the Vouchers for original tickets. Then queue again at the entrance. I don’t understand what this has to do with skip the line, it’s the opposite and you even have to queue more. There have been even more complaints about the way this online sale works.
The collection of the tickets & audio guide was very easy. Do make sure that you have a form of ID to leave with the company. Access to the experience was straightforward although you still have to queue. Did find the audio guide confusing. In the end just finding the place and listening to that particular description.
