Descrição
Um passeio a pé pela cidade que irá apresentá-lo a Podgorica, a capital de Montenegro, e seu centro administrativo, cultural e econômico. A área mais ampla é habitada desde a Idade da Pedra, mas sua história urbana começa com a chegada dos romanos no século 2 a.C. Datada do período das guerras ilírio-romanas, Podgorica sempre esteve na encruzilhada para viajantes gregos, legionários romanos, mensageiros bizantinos, nobres sérvios, mercadores venezianos, invasores turcos, guerreiros montenegrinos ... Mais de 70 bombardeios na Segunda Guerra Mundial destruíram muitos edifícios e monumentos dos séculos anteriores. Durante a caminhada de 90 minutos, passaremos por alguns desses vestígios remanescentes dos séculos anteriores, mas também daremos uma olhada na forma como a cidade foi reconstruída durante o período comunista e nas décadas seguintes.

Itinerário
Nosso ponto de encontro é no centro de Podgorica - Praça da Independência (antiga Praça da República), na fonte. Em caso de chuva, o guia será posicionado pelo Banco Société Générale, sob os beirais que rodeiam a praça. Passaremos pelo edifício do Município, pare brevemente em frente à estátua de Marko Miljanov, um dos famosos generais e escritores do final do século 19.
Da rua de Bokeska, passaremos pelo Teatro Nacional e seguiremos em direção à estátua de Petar II Petrovic Njegos, um famoso príncipe-bispo, escritor e filósofo.
Continuamos nossa jornada através de uma das pontes sobre o rio Moraca, que passa por Podgorica.
Nosso passeio nos leva ao longo do rio Moraca, através de uma das pontes para pedestres, e daqui teremos uma excelente vista da Ponte do Milênio, um dos marcos reconhecidos de Podgorica.
Faremos também uma breve parada na estátua de Vladimir Vysotsky, um poeta, cantor e compositor russo, que morreu jovem, mas que viveu em Podgorica por um tempo.
Atravessaremos novamente o rio Moraca, na ponte Blazo Jovanovic e seguiremos em direção a Sastavci (ou Skaline), na confluência dos rios Ribnica e Moraca.
Sastavci ou Skaline é um site muito pitoresco, mas reconhecidamente ignorado. Acima da confluência ficam apenas visíveis as ruínas da fortaleza de Ribnica. Estes são conhecidos como Nemanjin grad, como foi aqui que Stefan Nemanja, que fundou posteriormente a dinastia Nemanjic, nasceu. Atravessaremos uma antiga e pitoresca ponte de pedra a caminho de Stara Varos, o mais antigo bairro preservado de Podgorica, que remonta ao domínio otomano.
Em Stara Varos, pararemos brevemente na Mesquita Starodoganjska, construída no século XV e mantida por muito tempo pelos comerciantes das lojas próximas.
Sahat Kula (A Torre do Relógio) é um dos marcos importantes de Podgorica. Ele fica na borda da Stara Varos, de frente para os blocos de apartamentos socialistas do outro lado da rua. Construído no século XVIII por Adzi Pasha Osmanagic.
No caminho de volta, passaremos pelo Monumento do Rei Nikola, um monumento heróico heróico relativamente normal, localizado dentro do Parque King's. Foi erguido em 2006, no Dia da Libertação de Podgorica na Segunda Guerra Mundial, num planalto oposto ao Parlamento nacional.
Localizado na esquina da rua Njegoseva, retrata o famoso poeta russo Pushkin lendo poesia para sua esposa Natalija Gonchareva. Após uma breve parada de fotos neste monumento, retornaremos à Praça da Independência.

- Este é um passeio a pé pela cidade fácil, mas Podgorica pode ser muito quente durante o verão e uma pequena parte do passeio leva a ruas de paralelepípedos, portanto, é aconselhável usar calçados confortáveis). O passeio funciona em quase todas as condições climáticas, vista-se adequadamente.

Our guide Slavko Gusak was absolutely incredible. His wealth of knowledge, use of the English language, and demeanor was excellent. He could answer all our questions with ease. We were in Podgorica for 1 day in transit and wanted to learn more about Montenegro unfortunately our tour was cancelled due to lack of numbers so we had the option of paying a little more for a private tour. Definitely worth it and glad this happened so we had our private tour. Our guide met us at our hotel and we took a leisurely walk into the city . Stopping to tell us about each area, history, culture along the way. We then asked for recommendation on where to eat and we had an amazing fresh fish brunch in a very tradition taverna. Defo worth doing whilst in Podgorica Thank you for the regular communication from the office and adapting our tour around our schedule

The free walking tour was guide by Vladislav, who, I think, is the best tour guide in Podgorica because he not only conveys the city's history but also the soul of the Montenegrins. Our walking tour with Peter was the best we have done - after travelling to over 10 European cities together. We learned so much about Podgorica, from multiple different time periods. I had a great time walking the city with Ana. I have lived in Podgorica for 6 months and yet still discovered new things I had never seen. Ana gave such a rich history of the city and country.

Despite bad weather (rainy, windy, cold as for Podgorica ) my guide Diana made her best to show me around the city and important places! And told a lot of stories) She knows Russian well! Slavko gave us a great walking tour in the city of Podgorica. He started with the introduction that took us back thousands years ago and he explained the city history till today. Besides historical events he gave us a sufficient amount of information to capture the everyday life of Podgorica. Totally recommend this walking tour!

We visited Podgorica this April and decided to book a tour at the last moment. It proved to be a good decision as we had an excellent local guide who took us around the town and told us the story of the city which we wouldn't be able to discover on our own. We got a recommendation for local pubs and restaurants. We also booked the same agency for their Kotor tour the next day and it was just as perfect.
