Excursão gastronômica a pé em Playa del Carmen

Enrique was a fabulous guide. He was knowledgeable about Playa del Carmen and the tasty food. Ate delicious food that I likely wouldn't have found on my own. Really appreciated the "local" fare vs the tourist food choices available on 5th Ave. Take this tour and come hungry!

We did this food tour with our teenage sons. Our guide Alex was super friendly and took us to proper local spots off the tourist trail. The food was all delicious and there was plenty of it. Our 18 year old son said it was his favourite activity of our whole holiday. Highly recommended!

Angelica was a fantastic guide for my daughter and me. She was very warm and welcoming. She shared great information about the local and regional culture, the food we tried and other typical Mexican cuisine. Her English was great and she was very personable. The food was excellent too. The pibil tacos were the best we have tried in our trip. The tamal was our favorite dish. Everything was so delicious. Thank you so much!

We loved our food tour with Enrique. He brought us around to more local places that we wouldn’t have tried otherwise and the food was all SO GOOD! I also can’t eat dairy and he made sure to order everything without dairy for me. I’d recommend doing this early on your trip so you can go back to some of the places and also explore Playa del Carmen a bit more. Thanks Enrique for a wonderful food tour!

Enrique was very friendly and knowledgeable! We had a snacking time with so many great stops, from tacos, quesadillas, mole enchiladas, tamales, agua Fresca and more! So good! Thank you!

Angelina was outstanding in providing cultural and food facts. We learned a lot with her. She was very knowledgeable and friendly. The food was delicious and authentic. We went to 7 spots: 1) enchilada de mole, 2) agua fresca. 3) sope de Huitlacoche, 4) taco at an all vegan restaurant, 5) fruit market, 6) street taco, 7) natural fruit ice pop. My favorite was the mole. The food was great and I would go back and eat it again. However, the price for the experience was too high. Most of the food is street Mexican food which is low cost. The value of the food was about 210 MXN pesos per person and we paid 1,430 MXN pesos per person for food and tour. Although the tour guide was excellent, it was not worth 1.200 MXN pesos per person. In addition, the food was limited to one of each so it wasn’t filling. My family was still hungry at the end and had to request an extra taco in the last spot. They should offer people the option to get 1-2 of each item or only charge for the tour and let people pay for their own food so they have more flexibility on the portions. My family went on an empty stomach expecting a lot of food as per their video of 7 tips before you go so we were disappointed that the food was so limited.

The experience of learning various street food plates was very nice. However, for the price of close to $90 usd person for a family of 4, I was expecting more food and higher end plates. We spent around $100 usd maximum but paid $350 usd. La experiencia fue muy buena y Angelina era super nice. El valor de la comida que escogierion era como pagar maximo la mitad del precio pero no recomendaria a nadie pagar lo que nosotros pagamos.

There was so much wonderful food and variety. Our guide Angela was so fun and not only took us to great food but also gave use knowledge as we explore more food this week!
