Excellent service, clean sailboat, the staff was very friendly and provided us with very good instructions and information about the places visited.
We had booked the private cruise on the slot 10am-2pm. Largely living up to our expectations. The colors of the lagoon are magical. 2 stops swimming with a depth of 1 meter in translucent fresh water. It changed us from Tulum invaded by sargasms at that time. The crew Eugenie and David were great. Thank you to Eugenie, a Frenchwoman who has been living in Bacalar for 1 year and a half, very nice and anxious to make the experience fabulous. We enjoyed the opportunity to interact in French and learn about the history and issues surrounding the lagoon. Sunscreen prohibited anywhere on the lagoon, provide covering clothing. Departure of the cruise from the pontoon of an eccentric hotel in the center of Bacalar. You get on the sailboat directly, everything is fluid. In summary, activity we recommend if you want to avoid tourists' motorboats and enjoy an exclusive quiet time in nature.
Great service!!! David and Emanuel were excellent hosts! We highly recommend them!!
We met Julian at our hotel and he helped us coordinate a spur of the moment sailing trip for our last day in Bacalar. We did a custom sunrise sailing trip for just my boyfriend and I and modified the time for our travel needs for a very aligned price too. The captain was very personable, he provided us with fresh coffee and pastries for our cruise. He communicated well and professionally. Made us feel very comfortable and taken care of. Highly recommend this route if you're looking for more of a lowkey, intimate local experience. It did not feel touristy like a lot of the other options. Loved that it was private. Went to a few denotes and got to swim for a little too.
It was a great experience, we had a great time Captain David and sailor Mariano great very experienced people and made us feel very comfortable and safe! And super attentive
We thought it was amazing! What a good experience to share with the family and enjoy an excellent sunset and good company.
We enjoyed a pleasant afternoon sailing with David and Michelle. At first, a small storm fell and David, very cautiously, lowered the sail while we waited for it to subside. Afterwards, we set off south towards the village of Bacalar, the black cenote, the island of the Birds and the pirate channel. We sail, not motor, all the time. The boat is in perfect condition, David gave us options about the time we wanted to spend in each place and we enjoyed a nice dip. It was never warm and there were no bugs, and as the light dimmed, we anchored and Michelle prepared a delicious guacamole. We're back to the dock just in time. It was a perfect introduction to the lake, adjacent lagoons and fresh, crystal clear water that makes this area so attractive.
We had a delightful late afternoon sail with Daniel and Michelle. Early on, there was a small rainstorm and Daniel wisely dropped the sail while we waited it out. Then we were off for a long cruise south towards the town of Bacalar, the black cenote, bird island and pirate’s channel. We were sailing - not motoring - the whole time. The boat is in perfect condition, Daniel gave us options about how much time to spend at each place and we enjoyed a lovely swim. It was never hot or buggy and as the light grew softer, we anchored and Michelle prepared some delicious guacamole. We were back at the dock right on time. It was a perfect introduction to the lake, the adjacent lagoons and the sweet, clear water that makes this area so inviting.
The sushi was lovely, except for the sea urchin. Sea urchin color, but there is a nice atmosphere inside I thought it was 2000-3000 dark with sushi and other cakes on a platter and drinks Looks like it's been around for years. Some stairs in the entrance are broken.
Very nice boat and crew. Valencia and Mariano were great, nice and knowledgeable. Highly recommended.
