A visita consiste em um circuito de 1,5 km ao longo do curso do rio Algar (“caverna” em árabe) para observar a paisagem resultante da modelagem cárstica da rocha calcária: as espetaculares cachoeiras; as numerosas nascentes que brotam do rio Doroca; Os "pedágios" (poças de água parada) de água pura e cristalina, antigamente consideradas uma "fonte de saúde"; a antiga represa, o imponente canal e os canais de irrigação centenários ainda em uso hoje em dia. Aprecie as vistas espetaculares enquanto caminha ao longo do rio da montanha.

I really liked the excursion. On the way to the location, the tour guide showed beautiful places and told about the settlements. At the location, he explained where to go and how to do it better. The time was chosen so that there would not be very many people. The waterfalls themselves are very beautiful and exciting. I recommend

The area is lovely, the driver very professional and knowledgeable. There is a lot of walking: stairs and uneven surfaces. It does get crowded but we went in the am and missed most of the crowds. I could have spent a little more time there to enjoy the swimming, restaurant and gift shops there!
