Pegamos os hóspedes às 18h00 na estação de metrô Chikpete e começamos o passeio com uma visita de 30 minutos ao Mercado Chikpete. Chikpete, um dos mercados mais antigos e vibrantes de Bangalore, tem mais de 400 anos e é um movimentado centro de atividades. O mercado é famoso por sua rica história no comércio, de tecidos e joias a especiarias e itens tradicionais. Caminhar por Chikpete é como voltar no tempo, oferecendo um vislumbre da herança comercial de Bangalore.
O KR Market, também conhecido como Krishnarajendra Market, é um dos mercados mais antigos e vibrantes de Bangalore, datando da década de 1920. Nomeado em homenagem ao Maharaja Krishnarajendra Wodeyar, o mercado foi construído no local de um antigo forte e campo de batalha. É famoso por ser um dos maiores mercados de flores por atacado da Ásia, oferecendo uma variedade colorida de flores, especiarias, produtos frescos e produtos tradicionais. O mercado é um centro movimentado que reflete a rica história e cultura da cidade, tornando-o um local fascinante para um passeio noturno e um vislumbre do passado de Bangalore.
Depois de visitar o KR Market, caminharemos em direção à estação de metrô e veremos o Forte de Bangalore de fora. O forte fecha às 17h, então o veremos de um ponto de vista externo. Construído por Kempegowda I no século XVI e depois fortificado por Hyder Ali no século XVIII, o forte desempenhou um papel significativo na história militar da região. Sua estrutura impressionante e significado histórico o tornam um marco fascinante em Bangalore.
Passeie pela VV Puram Food Street, também conhecida como Thindi Beedi, um renomado ponto gastronômico em Bangalore. Estabelecida no início dos anos 1980, esta rua vibrante começou com alguns vendedores de lanches e doces tradicionais do sul da Índia. Ao longo dos anos, tornou-se um movimentado destino gastronômico conhecido por seus sabores autênticos, oferecendo de tudo, desde dosas crocantes e idlis fofos até bhajjis quentes e doces frescos. What a wonderful 3 hours spent with Ayan! He was so welcoming and friendly and shared all the history and current information about Bangalore and the area we were visiting - the oldest part of the city. It was great to experience the flower market and see all the local traders at work. The street food tour was also great - tasting many different dishes, sweet and savoury. It was also great to see the local people out eating with their families. Ayan kindly made sure I found transport back to my guest house and shared some more information with me to read and watch. All in all a really enjoyable and interesting experience and I would highly recommend it.

Had a great evening with Ayan, much more than just a food and market tour. Aakash was a really friendly and informative guide. Visited flower market then got metro to street where we tried street food. Interesting range of food to try - particularly enjoyed “ice apple”. We were allowed to pick whatever street food we wanted to try.

We did the tour with Ayan and I would say it is the most perfect way to get to know India and its culture! Ayan explained us so much about the culture, the food, the markets we went to and the history! The whole tour was amazing and ended with some really delicious food thanks to Ayan‘s guide through the street food market. He even made sure there is no cilantro in the food as I told him I don‘t like that very much. Would definitely recommend doing when in Bengaluru!

Stress-free foodie heaven – Jay is the perfect guide for India first-timers! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ "I recently visited India for the first time, and while I was incredibly excited about the culture, I was honestly terrified of the food. I had heard so many stories about 'Delhi Belly' and stomach issues that I almost decided to skip the street food altogether. Thank goodness I met Jay! Jay is an incredibly kind and welcoming guide who immediately understood my concerns. He took me through the vibrant food market with such care, pointing out exactly where the food is prepared fresh and where the hygiene standards are top-notch. He knows the vendors personally and only takes you to the safest, most authentic spots. Because of Jay, I finally felt brave enough to try amazing local delicacies—and they were a total revelation! Everything was delicious, flavorful, and most importantly: I had absolutely no stomach issues at all. If you are visiting India for the first time and are a bit nervous about the food, you MUST book a tour with Jay. He takes away all the worry and lets you enjoy the incredible flavors of India with total peace of mind. Truly the highlight of my trip!

Aakash was such a friendly guide and took us for a brief wander through the market (long enough to take it in but short enough not to lose interest) and then on the metro to food street. Once there he took time to suggest food for our slightly fussy kids who normally side-eye anything remotely spicy, but ended up enjoying most of what they tried. The food stops were tailored to our requests, conversations and random "ooh what's that" interjections and obviously not a set routine for every tour. He clearly loves food and chatted away enthusiastically about all the delicacies we sampled or walked past. Lovely guy to spend an evening with and top marks for entertaining our group aged from 6 to 70. Arrive hungry, we left completely stuffed.
